Here it is, Scientology's secret plan to end psychiatry as we know it
Although the mainstream press has a way of tiptoeing around it, saying that Scientology has “ties” to its front groups, including the rabid anti-psychiatry arm Citizens Commission on Human Rights, it’s long been obvious that Scientology, under leader David Miscavige, has a white-hot fury against psychology and psychiatry, and constantly wages a coordinated war against it. It’s something, after all, that he inherited from founder L. Ron Hubbard.
It’s another thing to get that assumption confirmed in black and white, and we want to thank some researchers who have been digging through some previously unpublished Scientology documents and really hit paydirt.
What they found was a 2006 plan of action that quite explicitly lays out a coordinated plan to use CCHR and other resources to create “the end of psychiatry.”
Yes, not just criticize it, or expose individual practitioners who have run afoul of the law, but to eliminate psychiatry itself and replace it with Hubbard’s quack theories about mental health. This is Scientology’s actual goal.

“THE END OF PSYCHIATRY” STRATEGY
INFORMATION
Psychiatrists continue to infiltrate governments, schools, law enforcement, courts, criminal justice systems and even churches, spreading their destructive materialism theories and brutalizing individuals. Hand in hand with the psychopharmaceutical companies, they are pushing drugs on society and in the process destroying people’s lives and creating a world of drug addicts.
Pharmaceutical companies now advertise directly to the public. In 2002, 111 million prescriptions were written for SSRIs (Prozac-type drugs) just in the USA. Antidepressant sales exceeded $37 billion in 2003.
When CCHR was first established (2 weeks after OT Orgs PL was issued) it was the Church of Scientology’s Citizens Commission — exactly in alignment with the Code of a Scientologist and the statement in the OT Orgs PL that “in the case of Scientology orgs, one should attack with the end in view of taking over the whole field of mental healing.”
In the face of the huge resources of the psychiatric/drug industry, CCHR has not been organized and programmed to successfully bring an end to the abuses and clean up the field of mental healing.
SITUATION:
Psychiatry continues to make billions from drug proliferation and collects vast sums from governments to abuse and brutalize people, while the forces of good have not been organized and are not operating at the correct order of magnitude to eradicate the destructive practices.
PURPOSE:
To end the abuses and brutality in the field of mental healing by exposing the real crimes of psychiatry to enough people so that it becomes unviable for psychs to “treat” people, for drug companies to manufacture psychotropic drugs or for institutions to train psychs, and thus bring an end to the suppression that blocks the road to happiness and freedom for millions.
PLAN:
1. Reorganize and streamline the lines for maximum utilization of resources. Place a CCHR Coordinator on the org board in Social Reform Int and Conts and under the Social Reform Officer in each DSA office. The DSA is fully responsible for all CCHR activities, volunteers and chapters in his zone. Social Reform OSA Int provides the programming against strategies and it flows down to the Conts and DSAs, and from there out to the CCHRs and volunteers. Compliance and data flows up the lines to OSA and any data of relevance is copied to CCHR at Cont and Int level. CCHR Int and Conts gather, compile, analyze and distribute data for use by the worldwide CCHR network and allies. CCHR Int as the international clearinghouse ensures rapid distribution of the data, abuses cases, media stories, DVDs and all similar ammo to all the CCHRs, to media, human rights and medical allies, governments and legislators, etc. CCHR Int also has Commissioners and a big name international advisory board, international spokespeople and generates international level comm lines, hearings, investigations and testimony. The Cont CCHR’s perform these functions for their zonal areas.
2. Build the Cont Social Reform and CCHR units with Europe the highest priority. There are already a large number of government actions against psychiatric drugs and investigations of psych abuses, as well as academic and scientific sources that are openly critical of psych drugging. Form local CCHRs that can provide the collected and analyzed information to these agencies to assist them in exposing the fraud of psychiatry. Pool the data from all areas to create a central clearing-house of data concerning psychiatric abuses and crimes.
The Cont and local CCHRs are to have their own big name advisory boards. These experts are to support CCHR’s campaigns publicly and help it become a known and undisputed opinion leader in the field of psych reform.
3. Provide a constant flow of real facts about the psychs, with packaged materials for distribution to the media, elected officials, government agencies or anyone else who has influence over their activities. Create a digital video library for rapid and broad dissemination of AV material. Compile articles and statistics (such as overdrugging, profit data, death rates, cost to health insurance, number of psychs convicted, etc.) in an easily accessible library of information and get it used by CCHR personnel and allies from around the world. Keep the CCHR website up-to-date and attractive through its design as well as by continuously adding links to the latest major psych or psych-related exposes and abuse scandals, new studies, official hearings and reports of government action. Promote all CCHR publications in downloadable format for further distribution.
4. Use the Industry of Death Museum at CCHR Int as a model to create updated and expanded CCHR Traveling Exhibits and org displays – as well as DVDs of the Museum videos and publications that broadly disseminate the data in the new Museum to create outrage and activate Psych Busters everywhere. Provide the DVDs with non-english subtitling and get them into use in foreign language area. Provide the orgs with displays for use during “CCHR weekend” (or “CCHR nights”) and utilize these events to get new CCHR groups and chapters formed and to generate allies and media coverage in support of CCHR’s psych obliteration activities.
5. Put all volunteer Psych Busters to work finding abuse cases. Document and expose psych abuses everywhere in the world. Turn over the information to prosecutors, law enforcement, elected officials, watchdog groups and lawyers for action to vindicate victim’s rights, while their tormentors are sent to jail. Include their institutions and the schools that trained them so they stop training any future psychs as it is made unpopular and unviable to do so.
6. Produce starter kits and have DSAs, Div 6s and Cont CCHRs use them to form CCHR Chapters in thousands of cities across the world and build Commissions with big name authorities (doctors, lawyers, politicians, celebrities and other OL’s) who conduct investigations and hearings into psych abuses. Widely publicize their findings and use their reports as catalysts for legislative and regulatory measures to eliminate destructive psych practices.
7. Help organize and establish Victim’s Assistance Groups and Patient’s Rights groups that make the true story of psychiatry and their damaging treatments widely known. These groups provide support to victims, testify at hearings, give information to the media, serve as witnesses for lawsuits and criminal prosecutions and provide information broadly. Different groups are established for different types of victims. They can and must be networked internationally through the Internet. As part of this, assist organizations that investigate and prevent medical abuse and fraud – insurance companies, government watchdog groups and those over funding of social medicine programs (as psychiatrists have traditionally been major abusers of public health care funds). Help these allied groups send out routine publications that spread the flaps of acts of violence and killing that result from the drugs, and exposure of the scandal that these drugs are only put on the market to make money — there is no medical evidence to support their efficacy. Persuade the drug companies to move away from psychotropic drugs as their “cash cow” and to take over the field of vitamins as an alternative source of revenue that doesn’t harm people and has no downside of lawsuits.
8. Educate medical doctors prescribing psych drugs that these drugs are dangerous and not based on scientific findings. Provide them with reprints of psych exposes that prove CCHR’s point and show the practitioners that they are in peril when relying on psych PR about the drugs. Make it clear there is a high potential liability for prescribing these drugs, which cause violence and suicide. Constantly campaign against the fraud of psych “diagnosis” and “cures” and exposing crimes committed by those who have been “treated” by psychs and their drugs.
9. Provide hatting and training to CCHR staff on 2 ½ or 5 year contracts (working 40+ hours per week) to make them more competent. Training is done in their local org based on a staff no-charge invoice. Meanwhile, clearly delineate and build up the CCHR funding lines (especially focusing on fundraising from non-Scientologist sources), including holding CCHR volunteer activation and fundraising events in the orgs with CCHR display panels and videos for the occasion.

"help it become a known and undisputed opinion leader in the field of psych reform...." Major fail there. Virtually no one in the NY State Mental Health system has ever heard of the CCHR. And the few that do know about them all hail from the Central NY area where Tom Szasz lived and worked. The CCHR may do very occasional stunts in public, but there is never any follow up or continuance.
Psychiatry in general and its 'practitioners' do a much better job advertising services and success stories. And they have real successes.
1. For that being around almost 20 years they sure don't seem to be making any headway. Then again, with the number of members in Scientology continuing to decrease there's not enough to fulfill the orders that require Scientologists in those positions.
2. As usual lies abound, including a) that there's no evidence for efficacy of SSRIs and b) that vitamins are not dangerous (because the wrong supplements in the wrong amounts can be super dangerous).
3. They can add positions to the org board??? That's not considered unchangeable Source?
