Day 22 (Day 18 since testimony began, Day 4 of deliberations) Danny Masterson retrial
Good morning from the courthouse, where a skeleton crew of reporters is keeping up our verdict watch.
We confirmed with the court clerk this morning that the original trial schedule is still holding. So if the jury cannot reach verdicts by the end of today, then tomorrow’s session (Tuesday, May 23) won't begin until after the lunch break, and Wednesday, May 24, the court will be dark entirely.
The Masterson clan was visible in the hallway this morning, which is a little different than recent mornings, when we didn't see them until the end of the day. And among them is Billy Baldwin, who is making his first appearance during this retrial that we know of. (He came several times to the first trial.) Baldwin is married to Chynna Phillips Baldwin, who is the sister of Danny Masterson's wife, Bijou Phillips.
(There was no sign of attorneys for either side this morning, however.)
At about 9:45 am, we heard from the law enforcement escorts that the jurors were all in the jury room.
And so we wait.
And wait.
At noon, we're told that the jury is taking its lunch break.
That's our cue to head downstairs for a sandwich in the cafeteria. Back at 1:30 pm!

Im sure there cannot be many things more frustrating or boring than waiting for the verdict.
lets keep fingers crossed its worthwhile :-)
My hope is they are taking one charge, one Jane doe at a time working through the evidence and will rule soon. I'm not giving up on a guilty verdict yet.
