One of our favorite correspondents here at the Bunker has been Sunny Pereira, a former Sea Org member who served in the Hollywood Celebrity Centre. She’s written devastating pieces for us not only about what happens there, but also how her own family was ripped apart by Scientology’s toxic policies.
We were communicating with her recently and realized she has a key piece of the puzzle in regards to when Scientology developed the “religious arbitration” legal strategy that is derailing lawsuits filed by former church members.
We also knew she’d have some interesting things to say about Scientology celebrity Danny Masterson and the curious way the church is backing him so strongly through a five-year criminal investigation of the That ’70s Show actor.
And of course, we discussed the crazy things she saw at the Celebrity Centre, and she told us some new things about the celebrities that was a real surprise.
Today, we’re releasing the fifth episode of our podcast to our paid subscribers at Substack. You should receive it presently at your email inbox if you’re on the list.
We hope you enjoy the hour we spent talking to Sunny, who knocked us out with some new secrets of the Celebrity Centre.
Not a paid subscriber? Well, we have something for you, too. Last week’s episode was with Bruce Hines discussing the Sea Org’s insanity. In the weeks before, Jeffrey Augustine helped us review Scientology’s latest moves in litigation, Claire Headley exposed Tom Cruise in some new ways that really blew us away, and Claire’s husband Marc told us some great stories about Scientology leader David Miscavige that we had never heard before.
Those first four episodes are now free to all of our subscribers, paid and unpaid. All of our podcast episodes can be found here.

For history, the Celebrity Centre in Hollywood, the fake church of Scientology's facilities to train and deliver the pseudo-therapy that Scientology delivers to its followers, the one in Hollywood for the celebrities is supposed to be staffed with "Class 8" pseudo-therapists.
It's a tall bill to reach this level of proficiency to deliver the top of the line Hubbard Scientology Class 8 quality quackery. Even though it is irresponsible pseudo-science-semi-therapy, it is still durned difficult and strenuous to reach the Class 6 level of quack therapist, let alone the required Class 8 level of pseudo-therapist listed out as required by Hubbard for Celebrity Centre's "tech" (quackery) staff.
Sunny did excellent in her progress as a young Sea Org member Scientologist, reaching Class 6, a huge feat that almost all Sea Org members don't even attain that level of proficiency.
She was in line to move up to Class 8, easily, in her further years there at Celebrity Centre, had she not chosen to depart.
The requirements for staffing in the Hubbard hierarchical totem pole organizations is a dreadful strain on the HR branch of these organizaitons.
No one wants and no want easily gets up to the required levels proficiency in the Hubbard detailed quackery pseudo-therapy, and the exorcism levels are whole higher kettle of fish of proficiency.
(This stepladder of Class 6 level was intentionally lessened, to allow the exorcist Sea Org members skip Class 6, and become Class 9 exorcists in Sea Org. Hubbard's self laid problems in the long runway to become the higher proficiency levels of Class 8, 9, 10-12 required doing Class 6 which is the longest training course for the Hubbard pseudo-therapist in the movement. But because it is so long and arduous , it was removed and Class 9 exorcist trainees were allowed to skip Class 6, 7 and 8 levels of quack proficiency to skip to just Class 9, exorcist, level of proficiency.)
A little known detail, which in a nutshell means those Sea Org members and followers who do the Class 6 course have done a huge huge level better than the Class 9 quack therapists of Scientology who were allowed to skip over Class 6.
Sunny did Class 6, a huge hurdle in the rise to one of the top pseudo-therapist quacks of Scientology.
