Report: Scientology Sea Org women forced to get IUDs inserted before they can marry
Karen de la Carriere let us know she’s done a video interview with Rachael Hastings, the former Scientology camerawoman who made such an interesting emergence recently talking to Leah Remini and Mike Rinder.
Rachael spent more than 15 years in Scientology’s Sea Org and worked directly with church leader David Miscavige. But she explains that she was not confined to the Golden Era video production unit at Int Base. Instead, she traveled widely and got the opportunity not only to see many things other base personnel don’t, but she also had Internet access.
Karen tells us she did a lengthy video with Rachael, but she wanted to share with us a short portion because she says it contains a bombshell: She asked Rachael about Scientology’s practice of forcing Sea Org women into abortions, and Rachael said it’s still going on, but, “The language has changed to make it legally safer.”
In other words, in order to keep Sea Org workers from having children (and therefore making it more difficult to work them more than 110 hours a week, 365 days a year), they are persuaded to have abortions rather than being strong-armed, as in the past.
But she also revealed something startling. Rachael said that today, if Sea Org women want to get married, in order to assure that they do not get pregnant and face the prospect of being coerced into abortions, they are required to get IUDs inserted to prevent pregnancy.
Karen thought we’d like to hear about that, and we thank her for sharing this portion of the interview with us.
Also, she had a short anecdote about Rachael she thought we’d find interesting…
When Rachael and I connected recently she wanted me to know she had watched my videos on my Surviving Scientology Channel for years while she travelled the world doing videos for Gold Base.
Furthermore, she said that she had called me to ask if I could help her escape !
I recall talking to a female who was asking for escape help and I checked with a couple of people who warned me that it was likely an OSA ambush.
Who would have thought that someone could call from Gold base while still in?
Rachael reminded me that I told her my lawyers advised against it.
Boy, did I call that wrong.
I could have helped Rachel escape some 6 or so years ago !

Back in the 90’s when I was in charge of staff medical for CC Int, I had to research out birth control methods for couples newly marrying. It was not written as a rule, but locally enforced that all married couples were on birth control.
Back then Shaw Health Center was the place to go for Sea Org medical. Dr. Shields flat out refused to do IUDs, for personal reasons.
So anyone who wanted to go that route would get the IUD had to get it from Dr. Denk. Most preferred to just get on the pill. Many used Planned Parenthood because it was much cheaper, or in many cases, free.
Even with birth control some would still get pregnant and that would be a matter for the Perimeter Counsel, where we figured out who was going to “handle” the couple to abort.
Karen DLC for the win. And the biggest winner is Rachael Hastings. Escape is good, and having a family by choice is very good. Unless you are a Sea bOrg, then your body belongs to Miscavige. IUDs are not inserted 'surgically', it does take a doctor or Nurse Practitioner to do that job.
The Sea bOrg are slaves, in every sense of the word. I would like to drop leaflets at Golden Showers and tell the slaves about the Aftermath Foundation.
