Scientology summit: Meeting up with Apostate Alex in Los Angeles

Your Proprietor is very happy to be celebrating Mother’s Day this Sunday with mom in California. And we were surprised to learn that our trip coincided with an excursion to Los Angeles by one of our community’s most inspiring new figures.

Alex Barnes-Ross dubbed himself “Apostate Alex,” and readers of this website know what a tear he’s been on, raising awareness of Scientology’s abuses in a place, the UK, where things are suddenly getting hotter for David Miscavige and his minions.

We had a lot of fun getting to meet with Alex in person for the first time, and also introducing him to another old friend, Mark Ebner, for some great swapping of tales. And then we went into Griffith Park to record a short video.

Later, there were more drinks and food, and we really had a lot of fun comparing notes. We can’t spill the beans just yet about some of the things Alex is working on, but we can tell you it’s impressive as hell, and we’re glad that the Bunker has been along for so much of what he’s been up to.
