Potemkin Village?? No, Potemkin mOrgs. I am familiar with that area. I used to work down the road at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center. There are a lot of nice restaurants and I can describe the whole area as suburbia. There is no lack of population, just a seemingly lack of anyone interested in $cientology. Good for them.
Kudos and free beers to those who contributed to this report. Volunteer correspondents find the dirt and expose it to the world. What a nice public service.
I was a visiting worker. I would never live in Long Island and Creedmoor P C has had a terrible reputation in the past. I didn't have patient contact, I was a computer systems geek.
I'm sorry. I was trying to make a joke because psychiatry is enemy number one to Scientology. No offense intended. (Probably could have made the winking smiley face part more obvious.)
I am always interested in historic views of areas-- recent views, that is.
The most recent Google Earth image of that Scientology storefront in Bethpage is from 2020. The space has papered up windows and is for rent. So this must be a fairly recent "home" for Source's acolytes. Is it possible they had to downsize from tonier digs to this nondescript shop on a side street? In the 2020 view the neighboring shop is a beauty parlor.
In today's image I was intrigued by the new neighbor, and looked it up. It's Twin Flame Crystal Boutique, a "spiritual shop." What a perfect neighbor for folks who are out spiritually shopping. Tech not satisfying? Try the crystals!
I would add that at least when you find you haven't been spritually "served," one will leave you with a bunch of ugly books and tapes, the other with some pretty rocks. So... choose wisely!

You worked at a PSYCHIATRIC CENTER? How dare you! ;)

"Ideal" Scientology is a Hubbard futile policy.
You cannot make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
Scientology is sow's ear material. Scientology is incapable of being passed off as a silk purse material.
Scientology/Hubbard's indoctrination eventually wears off, and the sow's ear is left.
