I tried paying attention to the numbers, but I am a never-in. Is there anyone with enough knowledge who could say what the minimum number of items on this list are that he did in this lifetime?
I'd say just about all of them that are not actually physically impossible. A favorite: "Have you ever deliberately trained people in untruths for power, or profit?"
Holy Spaceballs Batman. I would add, 'Have you ever combed the desert for a sight gag?' "Have you ever butchered the English language for fun and profit?'
I guess Mel Brooks is the most evil man to have ever lived.
Also, I can't read this list and think of it as a "to do" list for L. Ron Hubbard, many items of which he checked off in his lifetime, or was trying to. Edited to add: I see I'm not the only one with this impression. Whenever Ron accuses someone of something else, I always think, "projection!"
Okay, yikes. I was reading this, kind of laughing, until it hit me how many of these things Trump and his cronies are doing right now. Oh rats. We have lots and lots of work to do. Meanwhile, everyone please stay well, stay safe, and do stay alive. In solidarity, with big love, Auntie Kate
If anyone ever tried to make me sit down and answer all those questions, I'd go berserk and wreck the place.
If we are trillions of years old and have 'lived' in countless planets, we have done everything on that list. I guess the actual reason for that interrogation is to try to assume some authority over the PC.
Is anybody seeking to discover your whereabouts?
Yes. even after all these years, the Columbia Record Club still wants me to buy 6 more records.
Have you ever been a professional prostitute?
What? And ruin my amateur status?
Have you ever usurped a location?
No, but I did help Willy and the Poor Boys inhabit a corner once or twice.
"That Hubbard, what a sicko." This is a candidate for understatement of the year.
"What question should be on this check for others?" -- I understand WHY the question is here, but not it's location. I feel like it should be higher up (the the whole checks order appears haphazard) to see if they would give answers of later questions ahead of time or basically last. Am I off there? Is there an actual possibility these questions were specifically ordered like this?
It's interesting to see the breadth and depth of Hubbard's imagination for terrible things. Could any knowledgeable people say whether they've ever seen a similarly imaginative list of GOOD things, such as honorable achievements or acts of heroism, in a Scientology list of questions? I would suspect that the purpose of these lists is to instill self-doubt and guilt, so as to keep people pliable, so I'm betting the answer is "no, we don't want people feeling good about themselves except as a very controlled, euphoric EP that we want them to have immediately prior to sending them to the reg."
For never-ins, a note on how these lists are used.
There is a level called Grade 2, the "Relief Release", one of the levels of the Bridge from early steps all the way to OT 8. Lots of these sec checks and other crap. For someone on this level, they are just going for a win. The person feeling good about it, raving on about how he now blah blah blah like you see in the "Success Stories". Probably they don't even make it through the whole list. Knowing that a big win is expected, and that without one this could go on for months, the pressure is on to come up with one.
You have to have a little win, floating needle on the meter, smiling, on every question. If not, they assume you are guilty, dig in and get the details, earlier similar until you get a little win. It's win win all the way to the big one. Happy happy smiling thetans going on about how they threw their captains out the airlocks of their spaceships without a suit and so on. "That's when I realized what a true asshole I am!" Your needle is floating!
Once you get the big win you go on to Grade 3. Most people don't have to slog through all the lists all the way.
It's completely different when the lists are being used for punishment. You still have to win on every question, or like Marc Headley let your mind drift to being in the front row at that great Depeche Mode concert. But the questions are a custom-made list. Not much about ripping the atmosphere off planets, more about "what happened to the petty cash?"
You can't, in that case, blow it all off with a Big Win. They want to know all the answers, especially "Did you make unkind comments about the height of the Supreme Leader?" and so on. Your answers are going straight to Dave for grins and giggles, especially if there are truly prurient details that he can share with the crew. The pressure is on, not to help you in any way. To get some real dirt so you can be punished more severely.
It is common in that situation to come up with pure bullcrap just to get it over with. Exaggerate or just make stuff up. Then, after you escape they will put the lies you told just to get it over with on the internet as confessed truth.
Another side to it, often someone is put through interrogation and so on who has done nothing wrong. This happens when there is a failure that is clearly traceable to Dave. He needs to "put a head on a pike" as Hubbard so charmingly put it. So he falsely accuses someone and puts them through the wringer for his own screw-ups. Little wonder that there is a lot of churn at the top. You either get busted or get really good at pointing the bony finger at others. Either way it ends up being a clown show from hell.
ANSWER: Yes, L. Ron Hubbard, he's a charlatan and a quack, he's selling spiritualism snipe hunting.

When Scientologists come calling, ask them:
"Is it true Xenu caused the Wall of Fire? Is it true Xenu supposedly dumped mentally implanted space ghosts onto earth which today infest all humans and all humanity requires Hubbard's Scientology exorcism steps called OT 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7?"
-------------------------------------------------
When Scientologists come calling, send them packing with questions about their own taboo secrets about Xenu, every chance you get. Tell them that their exorcism sounds just too close to being quack therapy ghost snipe hunting.
Talking Xenu gets you "Dead Filed" off their mailing lists, so use Xenu in your favor. And it spoils the Hubbard snipe hunting that they dare not admit is a scam, they get in serious trouble doubting and quitting their scam, Hubbard made it so.
I suppose if someone really wanted to leave Sea Org or even Scientology for that matter, the easy way to do it would just be to fake the meter out on this list. Make it read on every question and answer with an enthusiastic yes! Then describe your misdeed in detail. Scientology doesn’t care about truth, only dirt. Just give it to them and get your freedom. Anyone reading a smear on you based on answers to these questions would find it really humorous.
Tony, this list is amazing! I did know someone who went through this. He was a WRECK. These questions should all have been applied to LRH! What a creep. Thanks for your great work.
I believe that the reason that Hubbard never returned after leaving for Target 2 is that whoever is there looked at lists such as this and realized they could not, in good conscience, let him come back to earth. In only 83 million years they might be willing to see how his research is going and whether he could be trusted to do a better job than he did the last time he was here.
The psychological principle of projection seems to apply. As Hubbard said, "The overt [harmful act] doth speak loudly in accusation."
A list of crimes Hubbard did or imagined that he could do. Especially "Have you ever promised help without intending to give it?"
I felt curious about the same thing, along with what kind of psychopath does one have to be to think up all these things?
What? No "have you ever sucked the atmosphere off a planet?"
Holy Spaceballs Batman. I would add, 'Have you ever combed the desert for a sight gag?' "Have you ever butchered the English language for fun and profit?'

"Have you ever deserted your own children?
Have you ever refused to support your parents, or grandparents?
Have you ever denied others a redressment of grievances?"
Disconnection anyone?

"Did you come to Earth for evil purposes?" -- Doesn't this contradict the story revealed in OT 3?

Excellent evidence of L. Ron Hubbard's quackery.
I liked this question:
"Have you ever misjudged someone?"

Wow, just wow
