We told you earlier today that Valerie Haney had submitted a letter to Scientology's “International Justice Chief” Mike Ellis as Judge Gail Killefer instructed, or she risked her lawsuit being dismissed.
But Valerie is not doing so quietly.
Her attorneys put out a press release today, not only attaching the letter, but revealing that Valerie had nominated Scientologist actress Elisabeth Moss to be her arbitrator.
Valerie filed her lawsuit in 2019, but it was derailed by a Scientology motion that argued she was obligated to take her case to Scientology's “religious arbitration” because of contracts she had signed as an employee.
In Scientology's jackleg arbitration scheme, both sides select an arbitrator, and then those two arbitrators select a third. All three must be Scientologists in good standing.
So Valerie has selected one of Scientology's most visible members in good standing, Moss, and we're very interested to see how the church reacts.

Re the transcript above of Lawyer Gary Soter in action in above post...
At least once a year or even 2x a year I would receive threat letters from Gary Soter and I would send them to Tony O. Always good for a laugh.
Here is one my lawyer Ray Jeffrey wrote back to Gary Soter 7 years ago.

Re: Karen de la Carriere
Dear Gary,
Attached is the email I sent you two years ago, entitled
"Representation of Karen de la Carriere". In it, I politely but clearly informed you that I represent Ms. de la Carriere. I stated, "If you have any need to communicate with Ms. de la Carriere henceforth, I would appreciate it if you would contact me directly." Nevertheless, you have seen fit to bypass
her attorney and threaten her directly.
Since you seem fond of demanding answers to questions, perhaps you will answer a single question from me -- is a California lawyer permitted to communicate directly with an adverse party he knows to
be represented by counsel?
Despite your usual baseless accusations and threats against Ms. de la Carriere, I was gratified by one aspect of your latest correspondence -- you acknowledge that she is a lady! This is quite an improvement over Scientology's laughable campaign to portray Ms. De La Carriere as a prostitute in her youth.
Apparently, the thugs in Scientology's dreaded Office of Special Affairs are screened to guard against any sense of irony. Otherwise, they would realize the incongruity of claiming that Heber Jentzsch, the President of the Church of Scientology, married a woman of such allegedly loose morals, and then fathered a son with her. Certainly, Scientology's founder, L. Ron Hubbard, would not have personally invited Ms. de la Carriere to join its clergy if she was
such a depraved person. It is amazing that Ms. de la Carriere
achieved the highest levels of Scientology achievement and worked in
its international headquarters despite her alleged shortcomings. The
Office of Special Affairs has the uncanny ability to "discover"
spectacular failings in the most prominent former Scientologists.
You, yourself, are quite loose with accusations. Your accusation du
jour is that Ms. de La Carriere is stealing, conspiring with thieves, and violating Scientology's copyrights. You provide no evidence to support these serious claims, because you have no such proof. Ms. de la Carriere has stolen nothing, has conspired with no thieves, and has violated no copyrights. The only thing she is guilty of is exercising her First Amendment right to comment on matters of public interest, including fair use of snippets of video widely
available in the marketplace of ideas.
Ms. de la Carriere is doing nothing wrong, and she will continue to
shine a light on the abuses committed by Scientology's absolute
ruler, Capt. Miscavige. If you do not believe that these are matters
of public interest, you may want to tune into HBO later this month.
As always, please direct any further threats, falsehoods, and other
communications to me rather than directly to Ms. de la Carriere.
Very truly yours,
Jeffrey & Harris, PC
Ray B. Jeffrey

Never heard a peep after that.
So great! And if she is "busy", what about some other celebrity? I'm glad to see Valerie taking some offensive maneuvers in this BS kangaroo court.
Where's Shelly? Maybe she would be a good candidate?
