Just in time for the big event happening this Friday through Sunday at Saint Hill Manor, Scientology’s UK headquarters, someone has anonymously posted an incredibly detailed and high resolution drone shot of the entire place.
My daddy always quoted Bambi when I tried to be mean. It’s fitting here. “If you don’t have something nice to say about someone, don’t say nothing at all.” It’s amazing how well kept the grounds are. Slave labor and fear go a long way.
“What a glorious view of Captain Davey’s unwanted erection,” Alex says." Do some push up and it will go away. Or think about sports...or gaze upon a picture of Margaret Thatcher. Many things will cause that unwanted erection to crumple.
The place has certainly grown since I was there on an SO finance mission end of 1968/early 1969. 6000 attendees? No way! There's barely a third of that number in Scientology now. Whoever arrange and made the fly-over needs a commendation.
What catches my eye, is it is NOT impressive enough.
If Miscavige is really thinking like Hubbard, he'd order the Castle to be upped to the 7 wonders of the world level architecural accomplishment.
Right now, it's bland bland bland and no where even close to being a tourist draw for the rest of humanity.
It is distinctly NOT iconic.
Scientology needs to hire the world best architechs, and a bunch of them, to give approvable iconic architectural and stone, all stone that is going to last thousands of years, and it has to be seven wonders of the world truly iconic.
"...“The Castle that was built by child slave labour, that was also built without planning permission? I couldn't think of a more fitting place to learn about Xenu,” Alex says...."
If the Hubbard quackery Xenu body-thetans exorcism practices taught at Saint Hill won't be around in 100 years, then maybe the ill begotten money lured from dupes into Scientology can go into making some correct style large stone "Castle" appropriate and approveable adornments, that draws non Xenu-ites to come drink tea and stroll in the Castle stone beauty.
Miscavige should order some of Scientology's big money into upping the Castle to hundreds years in the future tourist draw remuneration for the local area.

That quote has been used in our family also
Can't wait to see the whole spectacle in all it's glittery Mafia-Housewife-meets-Late-Marcabian-Empire style.
I thought they were supposed to be a Kool logos.

Lol!

Chuck, you want the Clampire to raise a Taj McLron? Somewhere, there is a hungry architect who would design it. To their eternal shame.
Cheers to you, Alex and to all of the protesters who come. I am with you in spirit
Hilariously wickedly true assessment:
