The Australians suing Scientology for labor trafficking have had more failures attempting to serve the lawsuit on David Miscavige, and so now they’re asking the court itself to serve the Scientology leader in care of Florida’s Secretary of State. The suit was first filed on April 28 by Valeska Paris and Gawain and Laura Baxter, who were longtime members of Scientology’s “Sea Organization” and served on its floating cathedral, the Freewinds, which sails the Caribbean. The three allege that they were forced into the Sea Org as children, suffered neglect and harsh punishments as children and adults, and served as virtual prisoners aboard the ship. Valeska also alleged that she was sexually assaulted by other Sea Org workers, and then was punished for speaking up about it.
So, the RTC tentacle of the criminal organisation known as the “church” of $cientology gets to taunt the defendants (previous filings) for not serving defendant David “he is NOT insane!” Miscavige while staff at the office of the RTC has never heard of him.
That would perhaps be OK, somehow, for a recluse. A Howard Hughes like character, if you like. But how is the RTCs status as a 503(c).3 tax exempt organisation squared with the fact that the leader is in hiding?
I’m sure that US tax payers are more than delighted to sponsor the activities of this organisation.
I think that these latest attempts to serve the Niblet should cause the court to order service by proxy or publishing. The only question is will the court do that and are there any sanctions that should be applied? I am all in for sanctions. Make the COB show up in court to personally ack(nowledge) service. Then the bailiff can whack his pee pee.
