And now we wait: Jury deliberations in the Danny Masterson trial

We will be arriving at the courthouse this morning at our usual time, even though we know there’s not going to be a lot for us to do. Closing arguments were completed yesterday at the Danny Masterson trial in Los Angeles, and we felt that both Deputy DA Reinhold Mueller for the prosecution and attorney Philip Cohen for the defense distinguished themselves. We had some reservations about some of Cohen’s tactics, however, and we spelled that out in yesterday afternoon’s end-of-the-day video, which we have linked and posted below, if you haven’t seen it yet.
I'm on edge of my seat and the varying opinions of the reporters aren't making things any easier!! Come on, Jury! Let him have it for what he's done!!!!!! 🤬
The Jane Does were not acting. I believe them. They did however have an important skill in testifying which many persons have not cultivated: they know how to allow feelings to come to the surface, even feelings they do not want to have, because that IS a main skill needed in acting.
Thank you from Australia Tony - your dedication for us is outstanding. I believe Cohen dressing up each day makes a mockery of these victims of Danny M. Really hope he is convicted .........!
The amount that Scientology is getting burned, from a guy who is a complete “dilettante” (one who doesn’t do Scientology diligently or with conviction), is interesting.
I am looking at my email feed every 1.5 seconds. How long must we wait for a verdict? I wonder if any of the jurors take into consideration that Masterson could afford to hire a top notch attorney who knows how to twist statements to his client's (and his own career's) advantage, and therefore that they should not give him as much credibility in the way Cohen frames the evidence? I don't think most jurors would think this. I think most jurors would think that he is trying to tell them the truth as he sees it. This is because Cohen is a skilled attorney and because people dislike thinking well-dressed, well-spoken professionals who speak to them in a respectful manner are intentionally trying to deceive them.
The photo of Danny and Bijou in the header is pretty grotesque in its coy, posed fatuousness. It's a rape trial, Mastersons, not a red carpet.
Narcissism at its finest

I hope its not the longer the jury is out the more likely he'll be found not guilty...
