Danny was smart not to testify. There was nothing he could do to save his case and it’s better if he doesn’t get examined by Mueller.

Cohen seemed to be adding a few last ditch Hail Mary passes to the defense. No, we will wait for the juror, motion to dismiss🙄, what, not another motion for a mistrial?

Looking forward to closing arguments. Thanks for the extensive coverage after an excruciating wait for these charges to finally come to trial.

A tricky call! I hear the experts agree Danny should not testify. Considering he is in his mid 40's... another 45 years is the rest of his life, really.

Unless he is guilty (which has been proven in this trial...unless he has something we do not know)...why not say his peace?

I guess the save of he saying nothing, the jury *could* find it difficult to find him unanimously guilty. Whereas if he does...he could prove he is guilty. Ok, got it. 🌹

Course there is always the Appeal, too. Time shall tell. I wonder if Danny & family are getting auditing in-between?

Tbh any person on trial for a felony is usually advised by competent counsel not to testify in their own defense.

There is so much their lawyer can’t control and the defendant testifying just opens up the chance of introducing prior bad acts. There is little or nothing they can add to the defense. Some cocky defendants think they can convince the jury of their innocence.

It is better if they stay quiet rather than introduce a wild card into the trial. Saying nothing is better than saying the wrong thing, a lesson I have (mostly) learned in my old age.

Thank you! That's what I thought. (& With 3-4 rapes? How easy to say the wrong thing).

Wow Tony! What.a.day!! Pulled up the bench, Cohen asks to dismiss, final time...Judge denies it!

Sorry the one Juror got sick. Happy with the replacement. Tomorrow is closing arguments? Amazing.

Thanks for explaining what is needed to convict, and why.

You have done a fabulous job of bringing all of this to us, including descriptions of Cohen's outfits. Again, thank you! 💙💟🌹

I like that another woman is now on the jury. Women should be less sympathetic to a rapist.

I knew Danny would not testify.

I was hoping he would, to make an ass of himself!

I will be appalled if they only found him guilty of one out of the three or not guilty at all. Wow. Sleep good tonight Mr. Tony. Praying over your fast typing fingers. Blessings

If Danny is found guilty would he be remanded to custody immediately or no?

I'm told he would probably remain out on bond until sentencing.

That seems odd to me. Since this has a potential for life in prison.

A convicted serial rapist going home to his own bed after being found guilty? Strange.

With a “show up next week so we can send you to jail forever.” I’d imagine most defendants in a similar situation would think about skipping town.

Exciting. You explain things so well.

Once the jury gets the case the judge can't tell them to finish on a certain day. It's out of her hands.

Deliberations can take time. They will do the best they can.

A verdict before this Friday? Wow! After five years of effort and reporting on this case, that will be incredible closure for you, Tony. Thank you for your diligence and dedication to the detailed coverage, just invaluable.

And our proprietor got pulled up to the bench and addressed by the judge! That had to be a tasty experience!

Just can’t get over Cohen’s smugness, wanting to dismiss the case at this point. He and Mueller live in different universes. But your sartorial description of his daily splendor has been pretty entertaining.
