As expected, Judge Charlaine Olmedo resisted calls from Danny Masterson’s defense to have his two charges of forcible rape run concurrently, and instead sentenced him to the full 30 years to life in prison called for under California’s strict “One Strike” law.
I wonder how many other women who he raped who were too cowed to do anything are now sobbing in relief. I may be wrong, but from the reporting, it seems as though Bijou was affected by the victim impact statements. I wonder how her life with him was behind closed doors. Abusers don’t just turn into different people overnight, especially enabled abusers.
No matter how Masterson fairs in prison, no matter what the Doe's civil trial(s) do, the victims will always have the rapes in their minds. Their impact statements are so horrible that I found it very hard to read them. That is nothing like it was for them to write and speak them. FU Miscavige and F your criminal organization. I hope every newscast in the world carries this story and highlights the CO$ connection.
It is no surprise to me that the fall of Scientology would come from within. Scientology rewards those who give money, become unemotional narcissists and give unwavering loyalty. The church fosters inhuman conduct in their members and staff.
Here’s my catch phrase for the day. “Scientology is a monster making machine” :/(
And their active demonstrated goal is to “Smear the planet with, not clear the planet of s**t”.
Well said. It's a truly evil organization, by design. And they will continue to be so, per their so-called scriptural edicts, until their tax exemption is revoked and Uncle RICO takes Little Miss Savage(C.O.B.) out.
Justice, the reckoning we had hoped for, is now in the books. It may in some way ease the lives of his victims, to know he finally answers for what he did. I hope so.
A conviction does not erase the acts or the consequences. It does mean he has been held to account for them.
But only him. Nothing yet for his enablers or the system that helped create him and protected him. I hope there is some way this documentation will start authorities on the road to removing the tax free status of the organization. The corrupt acts detailed in this trial, by those enablers, took place well after tax exemption, and with the knowledge of the highest executives of it. It clearly showed it has no right to be tax exempt, and clearly has never had that right.
Notice that DJ Donkey Punch believes that " the criminal justice system has failed him" and that he did NOT allocute. That cruel narcissist believes that REPEATEDLY raping, beating, abusing, and gaslighting MULTIPLE women...AND joking about it afterwards...constitutes "consensual sex".
Homeboy is in for a rough "ride" in the California prison system. EVERY DAY will be pure hell. His "postulates" and his "TR's" and the
rest of the so-called "tech" won't buy him a candy bar in the commissary or a reprieve from the beatings and the extortion.
The victim impact statements are utterly heart-breaking. Masterson and his enablers, including the "church" of scientology, have left a broad swath of utterly shattered, traumatized lives in their wake. May the civil trial happen sooner than later and thoroughly, and, as they say in the cult, TERMINATEDLY...BANKRUPT the church, so that it and its members can no longer commit crimes and atrocities behind the veil of Hubbard's cynical "religious angle."
And to Pope High Hair: tick tock, and a hearty, oh-so-theta, "fuck you!", you sociopathic bully!
Wow, Judge Olmedo threw the book at Masterson! So pleased with this outcome, justice has been served...finally!! Wishing the best to all the Jane Does, let the healing begin..
This is amazing news. 30 years of confinement is the least he could do for ruining so many lives. Just because he is handed a sentence doesn’t erase the lifelong PTSD and depression these woman have to undergo daily. Now David Miscavige, to be continued...
Thank you for the years and years of coverage you have devoted to this.
Hey! Mr. Miscavige! Tick tock!
I wonder how many other women who he raped who were too cowed to do anything are now sobbing in relief. I may be wrong, but from the reporting, it seems as though Bijou was affected by the victim impact statements. I wonder how her life with him was behind closed doors. Finally some justice!! Big thank you to Tony for all the in depth reporting over the many years of following this story
Hell yeah. Justice for the Janes.

The Jane does statements were brutal and that Scientology could punish them further for reporting DM’s crimes are unconscionable.
Finally justice for the Jane Does! Thank you Judge Olmedo!
And thanks Tony for all your coverage.
Finally. I am so grateful to the people who helped the victims see this through to justice.
Good.

There should be justice for the enablers as well.

Please just let this stick.
Justice for our Janes. Finally.
Now I want to know which prison he will be in.
