Cohen thought the prosecution would just do exactly the same thing that resulted in a hung jury with the prior trial? Um huh that’s exactly what any defense attorney thinks going into a retrial...not. Everyone he is whining about was a potential witness in the first trial, so he’s not going to magically discover new information about them since October. I hope this one goes better for the accusers.

“Petitioner requested a continuance to (2) a toxicologist who will essentially opine that the Petitioner drugged and raped the three Jane Does (a theory the People did not argue at the first trial) – interesting that this statement said the toxicologist will opine that Masterson drugged and raped the three Jane Does.”

Interesting because a specialist does not opine that the defendant drugged and raped, a specialist would testify that one who had been drugged and raped would have these symptoms, behavior, etc.

Yes, Cohen sounds nervous and clearly laid out what he will be objecting to and arguing.

Cohen trying to weasel his way around Judge Olmedo seems unwise. All signs point to uh-oh.

Just because the defence switched strategy in the first trial, the prosecution dares to change the case before the retrial! The outrage!!

Of course, the first part is silent..,

Round one of the rematch....the combatants leave their corners and approach the referee in the middle. The Ref tells them to have a clean fight and no hitting below the waste line. (That spelling is deliberate). Both fighters come out swinging and the round begins.

Good luck Mueller and watch out for issues that could cause a mistrial or appeal. And if you get a conviction, there will be an appeal. Rapey just doesn't want to join the Aryan Brotherhood while he is in prison.

And the saga continues. Thank you Tony. Looking forward to reading your posts.

I wonder if Cohen is getting pressure from Scientology to delay, delay, delay - their classic playbook.

More time isn’t going to help them. They know they’re in trouble, and challenging Olmedo’s decision is the best they can do now.

If Cohen knows anything about COS then he has to be more worried than before with the amount of info that is going to be presented about the way they hush up abuse etc

Cohen sounds downright whiny.

Is that photo from today? Danny has lost the beard he used to have. He looks younger, which I'm sure is no accident.

I don’t think Cohen sounds nervous, he’s doing what he’s being paid to do and then some.
