It doesn’t take long to say no. It’s really mind blowing that the attorneys representing Miscavige couldn’t have seen this one coming. It continues to blow my mind when a criminal screams how wronged they were by the people they harmed.

Yeah; you cannot dodge forever. Hence, substituted service procedures. But Miscavage (like other people we know) thinks he's above the law.

Of course the chief officer of a 503(c) tax exempt organisation can appeal against having been served, without in effect having been served. Because it’s his religious duty to consider himself above the law.

I feel like I missed the boat - I wanted to comment earlier that lawyers are willing to go to increasing courts all the way to the Supreme Court to protest that defendant David “he is NOT insane!” Miscavige has not been served. Now it doesn’t seem so clever.

"The nerve of this guy." And didn't everyone involved see this coming? Of course Miscavige will be dragged, screaming and kicking all the way to any deposition or court date. That is just how he rolls. In the absence of any appeal for the 'I didn't get served' complaint, the Judge should just slap him down and will probably give him extra time to answer. Delay is always the name of any $cieno lawsuit.

Deny, evade, delay, equivocate. Name of his game.

Oh FFS. Substituted service is the procedure for us to serve people who are dodging service. Sorry, you dodge, we'll serve you another way (such as publication in a newspaper) with the court's approval.
