Hurricane Ian hit in Sep 2022, over a year ago. It caused at least 150 deaths and $112 billion in damage.

Dave acts like one flight from Travolta followed by a press release fixed everything. I am sure there were individual scientologists in the area trying to do what they could to help. But Dave pretends like they have organizational support, financially, structurally, training, etc., and they do not.

All that 'are they leaving' crap is a PR plant by 'reputation managers' or just plain lying by the tabloids. Those 'escape stories' are meant to elicit sympathy and 'hopes of redemption' for the clam. As Tony has shown, again, that stuff is just bovine excrement. If any high profile $cieno cleb escapes, they will either be in stealth mode or join Leah Remini on the activist stage.

According to the update, the one IAS gala Travolta attended was the same year that Cruise got his Freedom Medal. Coincidence? I think not.

I think about 4 things to this:

1) If a full statistical analysis of all the celebrities who've quit Scientology were done, most go quietly, so looking for signs they've quit are hard to find, so the least bit of info can be incorrectly grabbed and used to jump to conclusions (wishful thinking) but generally be correct, MOST celebrities do quit Scientology, eventually, so reporting that John's quitting also, is pretty long range a good bet.

2) I believe Marc Headley on YouTube has commented that he's noticed the Tom Cruise has quit rumor in the tabloids precedes a new movie from Tom, for fan damage control.

3) New media people on the story of Scientology simply don't have their media's files on Scientology and on the top ex's to even contact, but it's almost common knowledge that Scientology's such a known toxic nasty subject with a nasty leader, and so many vocal public quitters, it's too much info for them at this time, to keep up.

4) Ex's might consider contacting, phoning, or emailing the media reporters who report lame stories, and help them get a fuller picture, and let modern media know the ex's are available for contact for future opinions.

Conclusion: laziness and wishful thinking, and maybe now with Leah Remini quitting so publicly, and now Mitch Brisker quitting, maybe that trend is just something "lazy" tabloids also wishfully think will happen to John Travolta (who hasn't come to an IAS event in years I believe, which is something tabloid media won't be up on).

---------------------------

John Travolta when I chat with some people about Scientology, they have three Scientology celebs in mind. Tom Cruise, Leah Remini and John Travolta.

That's a big change, due to Leah. So, the question in anyone's mind, is "Who's next? John or Tom?"

Keeping things simple in the minds of those who pretty much don't know all the ins and outs of Scientology.

John is kind of the wishful thinking "next shoe to drop" out of Scientology. (Now that the Tom shoe hasn't dropped, but the Leah shoe did very publicly drop).
