Judge O should realize that defense calling Clair’s stepfather was all about DM. And if cos is paying all attorney fees too, Judge O should insist on dismissing defense’s expert and call in DM - in fact insist on it….
And what kind of expert witness is Hugh Whitt OT VIII? What are his credentials in Scientology. Pretty much ZIP. Was he on staff? Did he volunteer years in a social betterment group?
Good for Miscarriage for choosing an “expert witness” for the wrong reason.
I can’t imagine what good can come from calling a still in OT8 to testify, no matter who they are. John Allender and Kristie Alley come to mind as examples of how OT8s who remain in scientology seem to become more and more unhinged. His presence on the witness stand will, IMO do the case more harm than good.
Another thought I had is, I hope they are able to get in the facts about a Scientologists contempt for the ‘Wog’ world and the laws and that it’s ok to lie and they WILL lie about anything that could possibly have a negative impact on Scientology. Sending prayers and love to the Jane Does, stay strong, you have a multitude of people who are in your corner.
Excellent cross-examination of the stepfather could have him explaining CoS treatment of Claire in a way that would actually reinforce Claire's testimony of harm. Then, the Prosecution could pounce for additional clarification to trip him up further.
As both an expert witness and a victim of Scientology-related crimes, it would be understandable that Claire might experience emotional conflicts while testifying. Her firsthand experiences as a former member of the church make her testimony even more valuable.
By shedding light on the tactics used by Scientology to silence and intimidate members who speak out against it, Claire will provide important insight into the organization’s oppressive nature and the emotional, spiritual, and psychological harm it caused her and her ex-husband, also a Scientologist.
It would be helpful if Claire could quickly add the following, BEFORE the defense has time to object, “Marc described his experiences to me and even detailed them in his book, “Behind the Iron Curtain of Scientology.”
By calling Claire's disconnected FIL as a rebuttal witness, the defense will be the ones making this trial ALL about CoS. Massive footbullet, IMO.
Reply to correct FIL to stepfather. Oops.

Yup, old Davey is a master at footbullets.
I hope Mueller is prepared to do a nice cross examination of Whitt. It wouldn't do to do 1/2 of that job.

Thankfully Scientologists (& their attorneys)
Have a fantastic ability to create footbullets.
Dragging in Claire's stepfather because he's OT8 is so typical for them. Pathetic really.
