My first response when reading the headline was to laugh, yep a mistrial, of course they went there. Then I read through the testimony and it wiped the smile right off my face. I’m not in the least surprised that he asked for a mistrial, he probably will try that tactic daily unless Olmedo stops him. It impressed me that she pointed out that his grounds are flimsy, since he, himself introduced scientology in a slide.
The piece of testimony that stood out the most was: “Because we were all friend. He was my friend's boss. It was like he was a brother. Like a mean brother.” That’s actually a really good description of most “friends” someone has in scientology.
Fascinating. And that's just day one. Judge Olmedo is going to ride them both really hard regarding the S-word, but I gotta say I do admire Mueller's strategic dump in the punchbowl right out of the gate. You can admonish a jury and strike things from the record until you turn blue, but the jury can't unhear things said. This is gonna get really hairy.
I'm picturing Brie reading this and realizing she set up her best friend to be drugged and raped.

A call for a mistrial on day 1. Early out of the gate, eh?
Seriously, that's harrowing testimony. Good luck to the prosecution.
Noticed all the wog newspapers have a common typo calling her his 2B rather than his 2D. Was this an artefact of the pool reporter?
