Good luck to the plaintiffs in Florida!

I'm watching season 2 of HBO's "The Vow" which covers the trial of $cientology-light-without-religion cult NXIVM. They must be so sorry they didn't bother to incorporate a company with "church" in the name...

Asking for a transcript of the Jane Doe1 phone call with Danny, showing how distressed she is about the inexplicable pain of her body and her blurry state of mind, and how alarmed she is at Danny' answer, makes me concerned. To me it's as if after the 911 world trade center is in rubble with terrified, wounded people pouring out, an injured person is asked in court, "How do you know the rubble came from the building? How do you know your injuries were caused by the plane crash? Were you drinking that day?" I'm frustrated with the jury.

I didn't take it this way. I took it as JD being upset and distraught to learn that she had been sexually assaulted while 'drugged' and unconscious therefore, did not give consent. I also see it as DM taking advantage of women in these types of situations just as Mueller presented in his closing arguments.

Regardless, it's hard to know what the jury is thinking, but I understand how frustrating it is and wanting to her their verdict.

I'm really nervous. I pray that the evidence and testimony of the women will tell the jurors what they need to know for a conviction. 🙏

I took the phone call the same way as you. That the jury had a question about it seems as obtuse as the hypothetical question an attorney could ask a 911 survivor in court. In other words, the phone call is blindingly obvious.

Yes, I've been saying this for some time. If Danny is convicted, he will probably remain out on his $3.3 million bond until sentencing, which would be about a month later.

I don't think so. Federal courtrooms almost never allow cameras.
