Shawna Brakefield has courage. Respect. But none of her testimony shows any link to the $cienoverse. I would expect that the Haggis attorneys have looked very carefully for any connection to anyone Haleigh Breest knows and come up empty. This trial has really come down to 'she said, he said'.

Tommy Davis is definitely following the script of the criminal organisation known as the "church" of $cientology.

The organisation got into real trouble in Canada, the organisation itself landing criminal convictions in 1992 (infiltration and theft of secret files) and in 1995 (criminal libel, "Hill v Church of Scientology of Toronto" supreme court of Canada).

In France, a low-level $cientologist, Remi Petit, had harassed and stolen some mail from a psychiatrist Dr Abgrall, after Dr Abgralls's entry as an expert witness in a lawsuit following the suicide of Patrice Vic, a $cientologist. The testimony of Remi Petit succeeded in getting guilty convictions for the head of the French branch of OSA(1) and others, in the first instance. On the eve of the appeal, Remi Petit died of courses unknown, no investigation was deemed necessary...

So, the Co$ has form in getting information illegally, also in modern times, and has form in using this information.

(1) Office of Special Affairs, the secret service of the Co$. Thanks for asking

Amazing article. Since reading what happened to Paulette Cooper, there may not have been apparent proofs that Paulette was set up by OSA, but the set up did exist and was uncovered by hazard in another investigation. Who approached these women in day to day life, befriended them and planted a plot to destroy Haggis? If they could do what they did to Paulette Cooper, there’s no limit to what they will do now with billions to finance it all.

First of all, Mr. Proprietor, thank you for posting this because it's interesting and informative and it also gives a little sigh of relief that exists because Paul Haggis needs all the supporting evidence he can get what with the NY Times having put a picture of him and of Kevin Spacey on the same page, entering the same courthouse at the very beginning, and with most media outlets lumping him in the #metoo category off the bat. Although I do agree with you that there is some pretty good coverage out there of this case (Deadline has been okay overall in my view), it of course does not compare to the more comprehensive coverage that you have provided all these days about the LA trial. And the headlines from the start coming out of NY have been mostly lopsided against Mr. Haggis from what I can see. When I just searched "Breest attorney" in google, the first three items to pop up were one from Daily Beast and two from Yahoo and the three headlines were definitely not impartial. Reading this article of yours and this transcription made me wonder how many more people are aware of these first-hand experiences but who will never speak up about having seen fair gaming first hand like this and being able to attach it to Paul Haggis in some way. Is Mrs. Brakefield on the witness list? Not sure Pat Kinsley's fair gaming would be allowed to be discussed, since it's hearsay. I don't know many of the ins and outs of the law but I wonder. Leah Remini has such a wealth of information and coming from the same circles as Paul Haggis will be able to tell a lot of stories. But we shall see if all the "Who is" websites will be admissible? I remind myself that this judge is allowing Scientology/fair gaming to be part of the defense, so this sets things apart from DM in LA. But is there a limit? We shall see if Paul Haggis' "I am a broken person" and "I'm a very flawed human" and his disappointing extra-marital behavior that has come out so far will affect the jurors more so than the fair gaming tactics they will learn about. The judge's latitude with the fair gaming being allowed is monumental but then one wonders about the whole correlation/causation argument -- and I wonder about the NYC jurors vs LA jurors. It would be like having a Scientology trial in Tampa vs one in Chicago. I lived for 40 years very close to Clearwater and would likely have a different take on things than a person from, say, Ft. Lauderdale. This is long, sorry. But this is the only outlet with this kind of info and exchange and as a superfan of Paul Haggis, I hope it was consensual and I hope this doesn't ruin his life. He already lost/gave most of his money to Scientology before he left this organization; so this is about more than just money he won't even be able to pay, should he lose. A lot rests on what Leah Remini will say that is admissible. I can't even imagine what else is out there that we will never know and that can't or won't be able to come out. I would just hate to think that there would be woulda/shoulda/coulda (the holy trinity of regret as I call it) moments so that's why I wonder why, for example, Tommy Davis is not on the defense witness list? There has to be a reason. His FB page states he now makes Cairo (Egypt, not Georgia!) his home with his Egyptian wife. That's convenient for him.

No one has been able to prove that Marti Rathbun was paid off by the church of scientology but he was, no doubt in my mind. Most likely if Haleigh Breest was paid by the church to pursue this case, no one would be able to prove it. It’s important to show what the church does to destroy people. Read Tony’s book on Paulette Cooper, Ms Lovely. I don’t know what happened in this case but Ms Breest better have bruises or dna and/or tons of corroborated evidence. He said she said and they said won’t cut it for me.
