That was an absolutely riveting interview. Joe speaks the truth unabashedly and with integrity. I really hope that his children wake up, and then have a wonderfully loving reunion with him. I have two teen-aged children and the thought of them disconnecting from me is a gut punch.
A poignant story on so many levels which none of us wish had to be told or listened to, but you two guys, Tony and Joe, tell it so well here. As someone who has endured something similar with his daughter and COS and what their utter insensitivity has wrought, I totally get the rugby player approach, Joe. This stuff hurts like hell to so many people that I'll just invoke one of my favorite lines, even if it is not "high level: "Living well is the best revenge."
