“Every day millions of people ask...What is Scientology?”
Are these people counted the same way your membership is because that’s a big number to be throwing out there.
“Here's an idea. What if you just take a look?
What if you see for yourself...
Who we are,
What we believe,
And what we stand for.”
People, all over the world are talking about who you are and what you stand for. Lawsuits are talking about who you are and what you stand for. More and more people are finding out. You must be so happy.
“Our doors are open,
To all people”
Unless of course we don’t like you then stay away
“Of all faiths
In every corner of the world.”
As long as you have a fat pocketbook and aren’t gay or any ethnicity.
“So what is Scientology?
Maybe it's time to look
And decide for yourself.”
Do you hear that IRS? That’s an open invitation, please accept.
Ha! The Super Bowl ad. Same slick choral arrangement, same smiling faces and same assumption that anybody in their right mind would venture into the Venus Fly Trap of your mind.
Miscavige is insane. Every year doing the same thing and thinking it will upgrade the image of
Scam-otology. The only people who get excited by the ads are the walking dead members of the cherch.
The music composers follow the dictates of what Miscavige likes. The soundtracks are glossy, soulless corporate drivel.
I know some of those composers. They sold their soul to the devil to have a steady job writing music. Such a waste. Exploiting music artists is a major crime in my book.
Adding a bit to what Val has written (which is fabulous) ... the problem with taking a look is that so much is hidden you can't really see what scientology is unless you empty your pockets, drink the cool aid, go into more debt than you ever believed possible, and have your personality altered so you'll never again look at anything other than scientology approved views. I know this because I took a look and went through all of the above until I finally cracked and got out. Here's hoping at least ONE person who's "in" decides to take an honest look what's underneath the "fluff": a lot of peer pressure, stress, and fear.
As a former creative director for TV ads, the fact that they're using the same format over and over again tells me they think the ads are working when, if they looked, they'd see less people in the orgs, less emphasis on "personal integrity" than there is on "donating money for buildings".
Yes, I scored many commercial’s including the iconic Dianetics commercial. Somehow Miscavige has no marketing savvy or intuition. His hubris is unparalleled regarding what he thinks is working.
And how can his SO commercial production team do anything innovating when they are scared to death of the mini-tyrant disliking any out of the box creative ideas..
Creatively, BORING! Same music, same LIES, same cinematography.
People filled Orgs reflecting a thriving community is a LIE, they are empty and cold. These bait and switch ads that we are paying for should be illegal. It’s a cult advertising to the biggest audience in the world!
They traffic, numerous front groups, disconnection, assault, abuse and so much more horrific things.
"Our doors are open, To all people Of all faiths..." Translation-> 'We'll take anyone's money'. All of the TV spots are so similar that they all could have been filmed on the same day with the same 'actors'. In TV commercial land, repetition is usually a good thing. Audience attention wanders and most commercials are easily ignored and forgotten. Restating your theme many times does help the audience remember any ad. Do any of the $cieno commercials stand out? No, they are understated and boring and given the state of $cieno PR these days, most viewers will be in the bathroom or making more Nachos. Those who pay attention will ask themselves, 'Isn't that the 'religion' that covered up Danny Masterson's rapes'?
In the past, I've tried to run frames from these ads through facial recognition software to attempt to identify some of the people in them. This year, they made this really challenging by having very few full-face images and a fair amount of darkness. But I think I've got one -- the Asian man at the 45-second mark may be actor Anthony Sayo: https://www.backstage.com/u/anthonysayo/
"Our doors are open" - news to me, every time I hear about them and usually if I am near one, their doors are closed. And they are notorious for pulling the shades down.
I’ve taken the liberty of responding to the ad:

Curious? Why is Miscavige evading service??
Yes, someone answer THAT question
and where's Shelley? I'm curious about that.

What a cruel joke.

I know true. Painful.
It motivates me to keep speaking out. I angers me.

Hmm. If it's really a church, why does it say that it welcome people of all faiths?
"Who we are, What we believe, And what we stand for...." aren't the same thing as what you're actually DOING.
