Yesterday testimony began in the Danny Masterson trial when the prosecution called alleged victim Jane Doe 1 to the witness stand. As Deputy DA Reinhold Mueller asked her questions about the social group she was a part of, which included not only Danny Masterson but also Lisa Marie Presley and other young Hollywood types, she explained how insular this group was because they were all Scientologists.
'ha' and 'ha' and then maybe a few 'ahhs'.....$cieno jargon flies over the head of most of us wogs. And I don't expect any stringer from the LA Times (they were there, weren't they?) or any other news service to get the backstory.
I don't think Mueller had any other choice but to jump right into the $cieno jargon and the milieu of the $cienoverse. The jury has to get schooled in the backstory too.
