OT powers, theta showers

Vote for Palmer!

Your path to freedom: blind obedience to the non-sequitur, pill-fueled ramblings of a narcissistic sociopath.

Charge up the ol' e-meter and polish the cans, this tech is "hole-track"(trademarked/patented) shit in your super-hero hands!

Belief systems such as Hubbards are rooted in some truth that plagiarized from earlier religions and spiritual teachers. As he progressed in building a following he had to expand his fictional higher levels of enlightenment unique to him with his scifi narrative to keep his members hooked so he could grow his organization.

I agree that following the teachings of such a narcissistic psychopath does pose the question why people would continue to practice scientology?

My personal deprogramming included identifying how Hubbard inserted lies into his religious philosophy in order to control his followers. That helped me separate the wisdom I might have learned from the volumes of rote dogma that Scientology contains including the completely bogus “OT Levels”. That’s how I have dealt with my cognitive dissonance. It has been workable for me.

The thing is, it was never intended to be a religious philosophy or a self-help tool; a quick review of his "Affirmations" and a re-read of Atack's Let's Sell Them A Piece of Blue Sky

will easily disabuse anyone of that notion.

I believe that any genuine "wisdom" or "benefit" extracted from the scientology experience is generated by the adherent and, again, runs counter to Hubbard's stated selfish, evil intentions and plans(expressions of his sociopathy, exacerbated by his use/abuse of drugs and alcohol and his unhealthy lifestyle).

My opinion: YOU created any perceived actual benefit while in the cult, temporary or lasting, IN SPITE of its toxic practices and twisted culture.

Mark, understood. The key as you stated is Hubbard’s intention. To control and enslave. Following anything to do with that leads to falling of the cliff IMO.

Yes. A fate worse than Wiley E. Coyote's in those Roadrunner cartoons!😉😂

In the realm of weird Scientology-linked political news, Igor Girkin, a prominent right-wing Russian military blogger and critic of what he sees as Russia’s botched strategy in its effort to take over Ukraine, who also is a former Russian FSB operative, has alleged in a recent video that Sergey Kiriyenko, a former Prime Minister of Russia and current First Deputy Chief of Staff of Putin's Presidential Administration, is a Scientologist and a Sea Org member, no less.

I doubt that this is accurate, but it’s interesting to see how the allegation about Kiriyenko acts to deflect blame for the failure to assimilate Ukraine (a goal Girkin supports) from Putin by creating a conspiracy theory.

"we’ll let you know if she gets back to us." That never gets old. Has anyone ever got back to TonyO? Maybe one or 2, but never the MIA CO$ spokeswoman, Karin Pouw.

Anti-maskers are everywhere and some are bound to ride that flogged horse into some elected job. As long as they are outed for their history, the electorate can decide who to vote for.

The 'freezone' is to me, a very odd place. $cientology used on a pick and choose basis is not $cientology. Without the social isolation and 'Chinese drills', how can any 'auditor' practice and keep new meat? I suppose a really good salesperson could sell that $cieno crap, but can they sustain a practice of any size? Nah, people smarter than me have called the freezone a stepping stone back to reality. I hope more get back to reality.

Very interesting as I live in Seattle. Never heard of her. But it strikes me how many exScientologists (and maybe this is even more true if they hang on to the technology and become Indies) keep the distorted view that this is all about them. The fierce sense of individualism and lack of compassion that exists in Scientology is hard to let go of and make a step towards being focused on the benefit of community and others. It's seen as a negative trait within Scn and also within some of today's politics, including those who fought against masks..... Because even a simple action like that, which would benefit others, is an encroachment on one's own personal place.
