Unconscionable, check. Invalid, yeah, it really does look invalid. The lack of a $cieno signature is a huge land mine. Anyone who has any acquaintance with the Uniform Commercial Code knows what constitutes mutual acceptance. If foot bullets include land mines, Miscavige just blew his foot off.

The nature of a 'visit' to Clearwater is beyond what is needed to visit North Korea. I am surprised that Jane's daughter wasn't held hostage. While any judge may say they have 'sympathy' for the plaintiffs, they need a good reason to deny 'arbitration'. Jane may have given that reason.

And where the hell is Gavin Potter?? The Clampire knows where they stashed him, so turn over that rock and serve him!

Leah Remini has enough legal cannons to knock down any $cieno wall. That suit is going to be fun to watch and given Leah's notoriety, I expect a lot of media coverage. I salivate at that prospect.

Considering Leah Remini’s track record regarding world wide damage to Scientology and David Miscavige, the addition of these powerhouse lawyers to her team must have OSA and the tiny tyrant shaking in their boots.

I’m excited to see how her court case unfolds. L. Ron Hubbards legacy is about to be dealt a blow that will put it another six feet deeper into the ground.

Nothing screams "TOTAL THETA!" like postulated arbitration clauses and whole-track-mafia-endorsed-hubbard-bitch-for-eternity "contracts". Yup, totally legit; so churchy. Makes all 57 perceptics tingle, yes?

Since the internet seems to be a big part of CoS damage, I wonder how much of any of these latest cases are sneaking through to publics and staff. It is near impossible, sans holding someone 'hostage' at a place like FLAG, to guarantee a public, at least, won't hear of at least one of these recent issues in some way.

Couldn't Jane Doe have asserted that she didn't enter into any such arbitration agreement? Not, "I did sign this paper but.........." Just straight up say, "I did not enter into any such arbitration agreement with the Church of Scientology and any paperwork being submitted by the Church of Scientology is not indicative of any such agreement."

It would require a much more thorough examination of the paperwork and under scrutiny the whole thing would fall apart.

I think the issue is if “I agree to arbitration” is anywhere in a document you’ve signed, then regardless of whether you read the whole thing or not, your signature is your agreement to everything written in it. If the plaintiffs in the Florida case couldn’t argue they signed under duress and it’s not valid, probably Jane Doe 1 won’t win this argument either. I hope I’m wrong. I hope these heavy hitting lawyers succeed where many others have failed to hold $cn accountable for their abuse and criminality

Most of these judges come from the corporate bar. In the internet age, mandatory arbitration agreements have become a mainstay of American business. We all sign them everyday to purchase goods and services over the internet. This was described in detail in the documentary "Terms and Conditions." I think these judges are loath to make any rulings that could damage the sanctity of these corporate mandatory arbitration agreements, or even suggest the possibility that they are illegitimate.
