As always...well done Tony! Having spent the day there, 3 days now, I would like to describe something I think is key, that if you're not there...you would not know.

The Masterson's & gang have about 1/4 of the room, and that area has been filled with their family, friends & Scientologists.

The rest of the room is 3 long benches, and chairs in the back for media. The first is reserved. The only person I knew there has been Leah, although there are others there.

So yes, as Tony said, due to the space issue, various people like this "stand" lady may sit in on this side where we are. It's a public courtroom, as the Judge has pointed out.. She's the least of the concerns re this case, imnsho. As my Dad used to teach us: "Keep your eyes on the ball". As the Judge said today....when in the courtroom, have a poker face.😎

Lastly, Tony, thanks for the great laugh seeing you imitate Vicki. That was a riot! 🤗 🤣🌹

Good luck to the Jane Does as they continue to actually stand up to the criminal organisation known as the "church" of $cientology.

Question: How can Bijou have a relationship with her sister Chynna and be in good standing or no be a suppressive person or whatever they get deemed for talking to a thetan? You'd think Chyna knows this case is true and is happening to her sister. Wouldn't it be something if Bijou was like that's it I'm done and she comes and testified against her own husband? Wishful thinking....

The victim's harrowing account in court of Danny Masterson's heinous treatment of the Jane Does begs the question: how could his wife have escaped his characteristic and controlling behavior?

It's entirely possible that Bijou has suffered her own horrific experiences at the hands of Masterson. Perhaps, out of fear of both Masterson and his powerful CoS allies, she puts up a facade of compliance while secretly rooting for the Jane Does. The weight of this possibility underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgent need for justice.

Speaking from experience, when you are in the controlling relationship, you will do everything you can to ensure that the abuser doesn’t explode.

This includes putting on the “look at me my life is perfect” face. Even my own family and closest friends had no clue until they were sitting vigil in the hospital room wondering if I was going to pull through from his last attack. I was lucky, the police didn’t give me a choice, they prosecuted him. I didn’t want to press charges because I was that scared of him. He served 8 days🙄 but at least he’s a convicted felon.

This also includes defending and protecting your abuser because if you don’t, you will be the one punished for “making him look bad”. Bijou may be displaying those symptoms. I am not a party to their marriage and will not second guess it, but she seems too compliant to me.

It probably took me 15 years to stop being scared of my abuser and I lived in a different State. I wouldn’t fear him today, 40 years later because although he is younger than me, he is so feeble, according to those who see him, that there’s nothing left to fear.

The only way Bijou would possibly get the courage to testify against Danny is if he was behind bars and she was long gone from scientology. She has two abusers holding her in place.

Boy do the Masterson's have that in ("look at me, my life is perfect"). The only one not putting on this show is the Mom, Carol.

Danny, at breaks, is kissing his wife & his Mom & smiling with the brothers. Ok....the typical Scientology "uptone"(EVERY THING is great!) Delusion.

The worst part, from my experience, is when you are "in" the Scientology-Truman show...you truly (for the most part) believe it & think that IS life!

I cannot imagine listening to JD1 in detail, and not somehow waking UP. /Sigh. ⛩️

Yes, Tory, on some level there has to be a few lightbulb moments. Courage on the other hand may not be present in any of them.

I'm so sorry you had such a controlling, abusive relationship. I relate and agree with everything you've written. It's like losing part of self to be so controlled. Life experiences bring lessons though sometimes we rewind and repeat.

Compliance goes directly to being bridled and contained by such a person. And, of course, Bijou is a Scientologist which brings a host of fear through lived manipulation and often a lack of esteem enough to get out..

I had a wonderful marriage...the opposite of what we heard JD1 experience (& if 1 &2, as well). Even being a Scientologist, for 20 years, I was truly happy with. It was the last 10 years, for me (1990-2000) that really showed me their darkest sides. The great part of that is *that* helped me truly wake up & escape out! ⛩️👍🌹😎🤗

Love the end of day wrap ups -- although I read all the reports throughout the day. Thanks for all you do, Tony!

I agree about the confrontation in the hallway. If that person had been ignored, the net effect would have been much better, the attack was the attention they wanted. This is not what the trial is about. It draws attention away from the issues at hand, which is the intention of those people.

Great summary of the day. Agreed, the STAND league has a puny influence and should be ignored. They only gain traction and power when others give them coverage, otherwise they are a nothing burger.

The ruckus in the hallway was reckless and then sucked up the judges time to question the jury about what they heard. To think this could have caused a mistrial is troubling, to say the least.

Jane Doe 1 and Mueller are doing a superior job compared to the last trial, mostly because of her testimony but also largely because they are allowed to reveal Scientology’s role in the whole thing. Particularly her saying that she felt couldn’t report to authorities because of the potential consequences for her family, getting declared/disconnection. Finally the jury is able to hear why this is being reported after so many years have passed. That ethics officer at the AO Julian Swartz is a criminal cover-up expert, and him telling her why she could and could t say in her own report! He ought to be sued as part of this. Tony thanks for your excellent reporting.
