I like Olmedo. Glad they will all three be able to speak. Wish the other two would be allowed as well tho.

Coming forward about sexual assault is hard, reporting it is even harder, doing so against someone where the power dynamic is so unbalanced adds extra worries. I am so glad Judge Olmedo is letting all three Jane Does speak.

Two things I don't understand:

1. Why Cohen did not attend.

2. Didn't the defense ask for this far off date because they needed time to prepare AND we were to hear if they planned to appeal.

By just talking about sentencing, does this mean the defense has decided not to appeal (as it would not go in their favor)?

Good points--I forgot the defense asked for this date and yeah, great question, why wasn't Cohen present???

This detailed coverage is much appreciated. It is astounding to me how important judges are in the world. There are just so many smart worthy people in society. Judge Olmedo I hope goes far in her judge career.

(Scientology's A to J Hubbard "policy" disparages judges. The Scientology A to J "policy" deserves someday a deep study as to the anti-social implications of it on the lives of Scientologists. I wish there were interested persons of the caliber of Martin Gardner to dissect the Hubbard nefarious and anti-social inhumane rigid rules like in the Hubbard A to J "policy." Hubbard crippled the followers, they have to ignore huge swathes of Hubbard's "policies" to remain decent citizens in partnership with society.).

Why would Probation interview DM? Does the defense think he can possibly wiggle his way out the 2 convictions??? If so, what planet are they on? Maybe Kathleen and Tricia will file suits after the outcome of the sentencing, along with others who DM assaulted.
