I found this a bit curious as well...but...after some thought; I think it might be more of a "catch my sister when she falls" scenario. The older sisters may not be supporting Danny. They may be there to pick up the pieces and perhaps, rescue Bijou when the shit hits the fan and Danny goes to prison.
Hopefully, they will be reaching out to the Aftermath Foundation for assistance soon.
Exactly. This would be the advice any cult expert would give to family members who have a cult involved loved one. Come up alongside them, show love and support in any way you can, for them, not the cult. This is a real opportunity to connect with Bijou that they might not have otherwise ever had.
Exactly...and...this is what I advise anyone to do whether it's a cult situation, MLM or abusive partner. Never break off contact, be present...be available.
I wouldn't necessarily take McKenzie's being at the trial as support for Scientology or Danny. She is most likely there to support her sister. It could even be a way to get closer to her, to reestablish some kind of relationship with less animosity so eventually she might be open to looking at Scientology from a more critical perspective, a way to establish some initial rapport. Cult exit counselors commonly give this kind of advice to families of people who are cult-involved, to take any opportunity that exists to reach out to the cult-involved loved one in hopes of being able to get through. You might want to have a talk with some experienced cult exit counselors on this and get their perspective of what he would do if the family had come to them for advice. The family may have been reading up on how to communicate with a cult-involved loved one. This may be the only chance she has to have any connection with Bijou. Please don't assume the worst when everything I've seen about her indicates the opposite.
I agree with the standing with my sister comments. Bijou had a kidney transplant. Multimillions of dollars of medical intervention for someone who was taught that “Disease is in your mind.” And “You pulled it in.” Those discordant views must be hard to reconcile, with the reality.
We have no idea what Mackenzie is thinking or feeling but I'd say it's a leap to assume she's "supporting Danny" or even Scientology, given her past tweets.
She's there for her sister.
Does ANYONE think she'd be sitting there if Bijou was out of the picture?
It was only a few articles back we speculated the light cracking through to Chynna and everyday someone ponders what his family must be thinking after all this testimony.
All the people sitting in the Masterson section, with their varied scandals and traumas, are connected in a messy chain. Mackenzie's strongest link is to her sisters. Maybe she's staying in case the link between Bijou and Danny starts to weaken. I can get behind that.
Perhaps the sisters are supporting their sister, not Danny or Scientology. I would support my sister at a time like this whether or not I agreed with her choice of husband or religion.
I wouldn't assume that this is the case, just because she's there. It looks to me more likely that she is showing her sister love and support. Think about it. If you had a loved one involved in Scientology and wanted to get them to see the problems with it, would it be more effective to go on a Twitter rant against Scientology or to come up alongside your sister and say something like, I'm here for you, I love you. Any cult expert will tell you that it's much more effective to do the latter, to establish rapport and trust with your loved one rather than be oppositional, which would trigger all their cult programming to fight back. This may be the one chance she has to have some connection with her sister.
I think the world needs a 'Where's Shelly' moment. Even Trumpiestas and Maoist Lesbians can get behind that movement.
Think of Shelly Miscavige as a 'MIA' person and being deprived of family and friends. With enough public pressure, maybe the Clampire can be forced to allow Leah Remini and Shelly to sit down together for tea and crumpets.
Such wonderful reporting, Tony. I am an old woman and can remember when reporters had so much integrity and interest in keeping any bias out and giving us the facts of the matters at hand. Sadly, we don’t see that as much these days, it seems to be about who sensationalizes it the best. One of the reasons why I love and respect you so much. Keep up the good work!
As it relates to some suggestions that perhaps Mackenzie (and possibly Chynna) are only there to support their sister, Bijou, and not necessarily Danny, this might be of interest to some…
A court watcher overheard a brief conversation between Chynna and Danny’s mother in which Chynna offered comfort and support to Danny’s mother. Danny’s mom seemed weary from the long days, but they were both reassuring each other that things were going OK.
I think Mackenzie is probably just there to support her family, as most of us would if one of ours got caught up in something like this. This has to be horrible for everyone involved, just like it is for any other family when one of their own is in trouble with the law. Wishing fairness for everyone involved here.

I hope so too

Mackenzie could be there for altruistic reasons, but her actions just put her sister in PTS. Policy is policy and that’ll need to be handled...

Leah is 🔥🔥🔥
I think Leah will be Shelly's go to escape person. I hope so.
Another significant point about Mackenzie Phillips, at a young age she was raped & the perpetrator was never caught.
Yet, here she is supporting an accused rapist.

Church of Lazlo episode 11 12 2022 (12 Nov 2022).
Tony explains things so well, it's a hard job, LOL.

Hello,
How do I get in touch with Tony? I sent a message several days ago to (tonyo94@gmail.com) but didn't hear back.
Thanks.
I would imagine he’s a bit overwhelmed right now. Resend a week or so after sentencing. I bet his email box is a mess.
I just heard from him, but yes, I agree.
Thank you.
