We just got off the phone with Clearwater City Councilman Mark Bunker, who told us he’s still stunned after Mayor Frank Hibbard, with a year still left in his term, resigned during the middle of a morning work session.
HIbbard had enough of the BS and took a powder. Anyone who has ever watched a city or town council operate knows that only drama can over come mind numbing boredom. Maybe Hibbard can testify to Dave Miscavige's 'doing business' in Florida?
I really never got the impression he was all psyched to take on scientology. I thought it was horrible when, from the dais, that he was voting for Aaron’s competition. Awful.
Moving into and displacing the library was a terrible idea. That library is beautiful and so useful, and it sits right there like a screw-you to Scientology’s ugliness. When I lived in town I was proud that that was my library.
