About a week ago, Mike Rinder let us know that he was experiencing some health issues, and that he was awaiting test results to determine what was going on.
This was such a jolt! Literally took the wind out of my sails yesterday. I’ve followed, interacted with, and admired Mike since 2016. He even autographed his book for me. I’m simply heartbroken that he has to endure such a difficult diagnosis. Although my heart is heavy for Mike, Christie, and his children, if anyone can’t beat this it’s Mike!!! So many prayers heading his way! 🙏🏼
When I saw Christie’s post on Insta yesterday, I gasped. So glad they are working as a family with competent medical professionals. His blog is clogged with comments from the post she made there. Heartwarming. If love and support can cure him, he’s well on his way.
When I was under the radar deprogramming, Mike was a beacon of light. I got to first got to talk to him through my brother Robbie introducing me on the phone at the Sundance debut of “going clear”.
I am proud to be one of his blog sources when I was active in Scientology and under the radar. And later he made the time to be in my documentary Brothers Broken.
I love his laugh and wry sense of humor.
I can relate to his situation, I had something in 2021 and got through it and it’s tough.
Rock on Mike. Glad I can call you a mentor and friend.🎸
Best wishes and much love and support to Mike, Christie, Shane and Jack for Mike’s recovery. If you haven’t read Mike’s book, you owe it to yourself to pick up the audio book. Mike’s talent in sharing his story is even more apparent when you hear him read it. So impactful!
😣And yet another monumental challenge 🌋🧗 in the obstacle course of this Warrior’s life. I add my prayers to the many you have inspired MR 🙌 Your courage, passion, humour, wisdom and kindness not to mention your UNREAL BADASSERY 👊💪can only serve you well towards your healing❤️🩹 Sending LOVE to u and your beautiful family💌❣️
A man I've grown to respect immensely for his candor and willingness to take responsibility where he needed to and recognize where he'd been indoctrinated and had no choice. I hope for the best for him, Christy, Jack and all who love him. Special shout out to Ms. Remini whose love for and friendship with Mike is a pleasure to behold. Their work together has changed the world for so many exs.
Despite medical insurance, treatment and medication is expensive. People who want to help Mike, can do so by donating here: https://www.mikerindersblog.org/donate/
Hearing this just breaks my heart. I sent a donation toward his medical expenses via Mike's blog (there's a donate button if you scroll down the page). Please, if you feel compelled, please donate. For more details on his medical expenses, go to Aaron's "Growing up in Scientology" YouTube Channel. Thanks, Tony, for letting us know. Mike is such an inspiration, and I know he's deeply admired by so many.
Please see mikerindersblog.org to donate so that Mike can immediately start the treatment he needs! It criminal that insurance companies will not approve it on the spot! Use the “donate” button as it’s been set up that 100% of your donation goes directly to Mike! 🙏🏼
As we are all praying for Mike and his family. I would encourage everyone to go to his blog and donate if you are able. The treatments are around $22,000. Monthly and as of the last word from A Aron, the insurance company is only willing to cover them for 2 weeks. That is my understanding of the situation. Christie will keep us updated, I feel sure. Mike is such a wonderful person and is such an inspiration to us all in so many ways. Let’s do something that Scientology would never do and support him with the money that Scientology would want us to donate to the org instead.
It got this far because he ignored the symptoms. That's what I did, it was a big mistake. If discovered early it is very survivable. That's why colonoscopy is a real drag but important.
Good luck mike, do whatever your oncologist recommends.
There's a lot of people out here ready to offer whatever support Mike ( and his family) need.
He earned that.
Oh, Mike! I'm praying for you and your family. F*#! cancer.

Ugh! I typed “can” but autocorrect decided on can’t.

It's survivable but he might lose his voice box.
