Every year, we celebrate the birthday of the woman who is the reason we started the Underground Bunker in the first place, to support our book about her, The Unbreakable Miss Lovely: How the Church of Scientology tried to destroy Paulette Cooper.
She sent us this new photo of her and her lovely husband Paul Noble to let us know that they are still playing dress up and having a whale of a time!
As a special treat for her many fans, Paulette is celebrating her birthday by making a 20-page excerpt from her own memoir, The Perils of Paulette: My Life as a Stowaway, Tabloid Reporter, Travel Writer, Scientology-Basher, Holocaust Survivor & More, available over at Apostate Alex’s website today for all to read for free.
As always, we’re feeling so fortunate that we ever heard about Paulette and how she survived the years of harassment Scientology threw at her, and then investigated it and found out how much worse it really was. We’ll always be grateful to her that she put up with our probing for our book. You’re the best, Paulette, and happy birthday!
As tonight’s Olympics opening neared, Scientology’s Paris org looked… not busy
When David Miscavige faked his grand opening of Scientology’s Paris “Ideal Org” back in April (Dave had taped his speech on an earlier visit and wasn’t actually at the org for its big party), he made a big deal about the new space age cathedral being just down the street from the Stade de Paris, where the Olympics would be taking place, including the Closing Ceremonies.
And then last month, Scientology proclaimed that over night the new Paris org had become the greatest one ever, and was bursting at the seams. Ooh la la!
But as the Olympic games were nearing this week, one of our readers decided to go by the building to see how busy it really was.
This was the report they sent us…
It took Google maps to find it, as there is no signposting to the grand Paris Org. All signs for the Olympic Stade de France point in the opposite direction, so I’m not sure it will get the foot traffic it’s hoping for over the next few weeks.
I spotted two people at the back of the property (I assume they are Scientologists), there was another gentleman inside the fenced area dressed in a waistcoat smoking a cigarette, and at the front entrance in the foyer there were four more people, but I didn’t spot any one else.
I had my daughter with me, who didn’t want me to go in as she’s been reading up on Scientology and has a girlfriend….so she didn’t think it would be the cult for her!
I’m not sure what I was expecting, but the train station and surrounding areas are bustling, and there is no one really passing this way at all!
I couldn’t come all the way to Paris without having a look at it!
And we’re glad you did, reader. Merci beaucoup!

Thank you Tony for an excellent article - as always.
Once again, a volunteer correspondent shows the Bunker where the truth lies. The Paris mOrg is deader than a door nail, it is painted blue and nailed to its perch. It does do one good thing, it drains money from Miscavige's Scotch fund and gives a visible target to those who want to see how the Clampire is thriving. Apparently 'thriving' is not a word that can honestly be applied to the Paris Ideal mOrg.
Once again Paulette Cooper Noble completes another journey around the sun. Her story is an important one, her life has been an excellent adventure.
