Leaving the Sea Org was the happiest day of Clarissa's life, "because nothing in my life that has been wonderful could have happened without that moment" 😭

My heart breaks listening to Clarissa talk about the Scientology kids being separated en masse from their parents.

Clarissa was physically sick en route to sign her Sea Org contract. Says everything.

The best part of Scientology is when you leave it.

I love a good escape story, but Clarissa is still dealing with the fallout from escaping. She has taken care of her mental health and is doing well. That is sort of a success story. Too bad her biological family is still in thrall to the Niblet.

Clarissa: "I'm not going to remember all these acronyms."

How lovely that Clarissa has reached this point :)

33 minutes in. Mind already blown...

Cruel behavior in scientology is ubiquitous. It's an "everyday thing". The excessive control, the rudeness, the bullying, the gaslighting, the shaming, the manipulation, the utter coldness...

Because, yo, there is a universe to save...and you need to be an obedient slave to realize that "star-high" goal. What an utter crock of shit. Institutionalized evil. Wow.

Hubbard-pimp-hubris: " freeloader debt ". Some Hotel California shit: you can check out, but you can't leave. Remember, Hublard said the 9th dynamic was MONEY. Priorities. Pay for the "privilege" of being fucked over while acknowledging that you are a "degraded being" for leaving the Sea Org(yeah, there is a policy that says exactly THAT!).

Great interview, thanks to both of you!

I must say something about Clarissas’ mother - Les Gibble was in a terriable accident which left him in a wheelchair as well as being brain damaged. Les was a SO member. His wife divorced him after the accident and married Jeff Porter. She became the IJC for years. Meanwhile only Clarrissas’ mother, Irmin Huber bent over backwards to help Les. This was in early 90s. I don’t know what post Irmin had but I could see her priority was helping Les become whole again after his accident. Irmin traveled between the HGB, the Manor near where Les was housed and Big Blue on rollerscates. Sometimes she was in shoes pushing Les in his wheelchair. She did this for years even taking Les to events!

It’s really sad she wasn’t such a dedicated mother. She had a heart bigger then most SO HGB staff.

Mom to daughter: "Then why were born into our family? " Wow.

Her answer should have been:

"Then why have you gone out ethics and into a Treason Condition -- why are you still working for Miscavige -- why don't you open your eyes to see what Miscavige was done to ruin LRH's tech, policy, and ethics -- why haven't noticed that all the the orgs are in Treason Condition statistics and as such are collapsing?
