My heart breaks listening to Clarissa talk about the Scientology kids being separated en masse from their parents.

I love a good escape story, but Clarissa is still dealing with the fallout from escaping. She has taken care of her mental health and is doing well. That is sort of a success story. Too bad her biological family is still in thrall to the Niblet.

33 minutes in. Mind already blown...

Cruel behavior in scientology is ubiquitous. It's an "everyday thing". The excessive control, the rudeness, the bullying, the gaslighting, the shaming, the manipulation, the utter coldness...

Because, yo, there is a universe to save...and you need to be an obedient slave to realize that "star-high" goal. What an utter crock of shit. Institutionalized evil. Wow.

Hubbard-pimp-hubris: " freeloader debt ". Some Hotel California shit: you can check out, but you can't leave. Remember, Hublard said the 9th dynamic was MONEY. Priorities. Pay for the "privilege" of being fucked over while acknowledging that you are a "degraded being" for leaving the Sea Org(yeah, there is a policy that says exactly THAT!).

Great interview, thanks to both of you!
