Oh my god. I was a SPY subscriber throughout the early ‘90s, right up to when it met its untimely demise. Ebner’s article may very well have been my first exposure to the CoS and all that goes with it. Holy crap, hearing from him was a big deal. I saved every issue of the magazine (I had a letter published once!) and now I want to go back and re-read. Im absolutely delighted you had him on the podcast!

Ebnerrrrrrr!!! I would buy that man whiskey and pie all night just to hear more of his amazing stories--and not just about scientology. Truly unafraid to go into the darkest, dirtiest corners to bring the truth to light. Plus he's got a giant heart, which is evident in his story on Philip Gale. I'm so glad you guys brought that one up. It's beautifully done--unflinching, compassionate, and gut-wrenching.
