I remember the recruiter trio back then: Gavin Potter, William Carey and Tom Vorm, who all heavily flirted with all recruit prospects to get them to join.

I’ll tell you what: Jane Doe 1 was not happily married back then. I didn’t know her personally but seeing her around back then, she was NOT happy. Happily married. I call BS.

ETA: they were creepy, slimy and manipulative.

Pimping and raping; yep, that sounds like scientology. Cynical, cruel, greedy, evil bastards.

Even if the contract was valid, although I would disagree, since crimes were committed by the church, which would nullify any contract. However, she could sue In conjunction with other plaintiffs to get around the arbitration agreement.

Class action lawsuits are immune to arbitration. Women on Wall Street had the same issue in the 90’s and the courts agreed that class action suits are immune from the arbitration process.

Just a thought...:)

Arbitration of this kind is subjecting victims to further abuse. It’s embarrassing that an American court of law allows this process to exist. This cult continues to abuse its followers in horrific ways and the government are to big of pussies to do a damn thing about it. Subpoena David Miscavige, get him fucking served and put him away for 100+ years like Keith Raniere! It would be nice before he flees or murders more people. David Miscavige is a ruthless criminal in hiding, behind his predecessors feeble and fictitious “religion”.

"...on the even of turning 18 years old". Thank you for confirming, in writing, that Potter married a child.

"You have been tried and sentenced in a summary paramilitary court, but without the right to defense, to the following sentence, thanks to the first amendment: "You have two options: "punishment center for the reeducation of your absolute submission, or marry, with that exemplary Scientologist of this galaxy, the Andromeda galaxy, and the neighboring.

, You can choose with total freedom, one of the two options, without any conditioning... for that we are very tolerant and imbued with some god, from among the fallen angels. And remember that you have signed contracts with us, which do not require external control, nor citizen guarantees, nor psychotechnical tests of the psychological state at the time of signing. Don't forget that we are super modern, just by using cutting-edge technology!

I have always thought Gavin was a wannabe Miscavige clone. I guess if you lick someone’s boots long enough you start to look like them.

One of these is not like the others. (hint: Graham Berry)

“Enthusiastic writings” dictated to and coerced out of her by the ethics officer with the threat of expulsion from the only life she’d ever known. Enthusiastic? I guess that’s their new catchphrase this month. I was in scientology. There are a lot of times I faked enthusiasm, not much I felt,

When will actual 'justice' trump 'contract law'? This is like asking your grandmother to adjudicate why your grandfather raped you. I have little hope of any American court ignoring the 'contract law' part of this case.

Is it not past time that Miscavige was served by 'alternate means'? And where the f*&k is this Potter scumbag?

Let me start by saying, I'm no expert on this. I've just been following the story since Troublemaker came out.

That said, for anyone wondering how Scientology is still getting away with abuse, it's the "religious freedoms" afforded by their "Church" tax exempt status. It's important know this because Scientology is using tax-payer dollars (via it's tax-exempt status) as a racket and a shield to contractually abuse people, members and non-members alike - and to scoop up real estate, but I digress.

One of the ways to stop the abuse is for their church-tax-exempt status to be governmentally revoked. Here are links I found detailing governmental Church Tax Exempt Status frameworks.

Here's a link to the church tax-exempt IRS information page : https://www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/churches-integrated-auxiliaries-and-conventions-or-associations-of-churches

And a link to California's State Board of Equalization page on Church Exemption: https://www.boe.ca.gov/proptaxes/church_exemption.htm?fbclid=IwAR2xgVYunvZynVI80qLaRvt5DCwILUAhJAKHXsKL0ZsYyqZW7Z37A6XRle0#:~:text=The%20Church%20Exemption%20may%20be,and%20Taxation%20Code%20section%20206
