We’re just two days away from this year’s big Scientology blowout at its UK headquarters Saint Hill Manor, the annual IAS gala, when Scientologists around the world are supposed to do what they can to get themselves to the big tent in East Grinstead, England to hear church leader David Miscavige give a three-hour stemwinder.
As in past years, Scientology did what it could to keep nosy outsiders like us from knowing the dates that had been chosen for this year’s three-day shindig.
And after the protests put on last year by former London staffer “Apostate Alex” Barnes-Ross, the church really saved the announcement of this year’s dates to the very last minute.
Was it too late even for Scientologists? Alex says he can’t help thinking that’s the case, and you may agree after seeing the latest of Sandrine Mootoo’s short videos with her fellow London staffers trying to convince Scientologists to drop everything and get themselves to the event.
As usual, it’s a gas…
Less panicky but still telling in its tone, there was this invitation imploring Scientologists to bring everyone they know with them for the full Saint Hill experience…
Hello! This is Lavinia Vos, I am the Director of Training here at Saint Hill.
On the 25th of October 2024, we will be celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the IAS!
This weekend will be one for the ages as Scientologists from every corner of the globe come together and unite as one for freedom.
I want to ensure that you are coming, that all your friends are coming and I also want to invite you to come not only for the IAS event and experience an incredibly uplifting and exhilarating weekend, but also experience the Saint Hill course rooms and see what it is like to study right here, at Ron's home.
We deliver all Academy training courses, the Golden Age of Knowledge courses, the PTS/SP Course, the Survival Rundown, as well as Life Improvement Courses. You can stay for a week, a month, or longer to get through your next course or training step on the Bridge. My Supervisors and Word Clearers will give you superb services and get you through your studies. Bring as many friends and family members as you want.
Let me know how I can help you with this, what questions you have and I look forward to seeing you here at Saint Hill in the very near future!
ML,
Lavinia Vos
Director of Training Saint Hill
“They're desperate, practically begging. Maybe if they'd planned this and gave a little more notice, people wouldn't need to change their plans to attend at the last minute,” Alex says.
And he sent this photo of a notice that he found up at the Saint Hill grounds, a statement that Scientology has applied to extend their licensed hours…
Can you imagine, Scientology actually posting notices that it’s abiding by local rules so Captain Dave can party until midnight?
Alex’s activism really seems to be having an effect!

The idea that Scientology is afraid to promote one of its biggest most lucrative events of the year shows just how far down the scale of expansion they are. They are now the “fastest growing religion” in what universe? Kudos to Alex, Tony, Mike, Marc and all the other podcasters and writers who keep exposing the frauds and crimes of Scientology and Scientologists.
You can bet that the Whales were clued in long ago and that Tom Cruise may fly his helicopter in to the adulation of the adoring crowds. Or maybe he'll just drive in if the weather is bad. DM can't have his most visible minion not in the audience. I wonder where John Travolta is? And the other so called $cino Clebs?
