Dave always has a teleprompter screen in the podium. Yet he is the only one shot with a stack of papers in his hands. Must be a staged shot, though it has the right background.

It is true that he is completely paranoid about his speeches and always brings a printed copy in case the prompter fails. But it usually ends up to the side of the in-podium prompter screen.

I doubt very much that he was there for the ribbon cutting.

Bizarre that they found speakers of similar height to him, no need for forced perspective in the group shot. You can tell it is not faked by the podium height against the ties of the speakers.

In the old days we had the podium mike on a motorized lifter (my design) that would push the mikes up for Ray Mithoff and down to the lowest level for Dave. They always cut away from the podium when a speaker was walking on, so you never saw the mikes going up and down in the final edit. These new single mike setups are obviously not using the lifter, resulting in the mike being almost at the waistline of some speakers! But just right for Dave.

“perhaps Miscavige didn’t want the speech to drag on too long.”

Coffee. Ebrrrwhere.

Dave's is the only shot not showing the podium more in full and you can see the backs of peoples' heads in the shot. So somehow everyone spoke without the crowd right upfront until Dave? [Or as the jokesters would put it... so Dave talked first and for so long the crowd got bored and left before the others talked?]

Given that only critics made press statements on the day, and that the press reporting, e.g. Liberation, was a litany of complaints and warnings from anti-cult groups, private as well as governmental, the criminal organisation known as the "church" of $cientology simply defaulted the "stat" of positive press mentions.

As to what they have in the for-the-mind-fuck-victims-only internal glossy, I'm glad people are shedding a light on it, but the real world is with the local authority and their frustration that this human rights abuse made organisation is allowed to operate.

Yooo Davy, the official welcome you got from St Denis is very telling. "We are suffering with our residents the announcement of the inauguration of this site.” Now the suffering of the staff can begin to look for all of them to have real jobs elsewhere.

All of the analysis of the pictures is far too much like those who tried to decipher those on Lenin's Tomb in parade days in the Soviet Union. It is an almost useless attempt to just see the usual modis operandi of the Clampire. Schrodinger's COB is everywhere he wants to be. And that is almost always hiding behind some beefy security people who keep the hol polloi and process servers away.

Clearly Jean Maher is NOT an international human rights expert because if he was, he'd know Scientology violates just about, if not all, every human right there is. I wonder how much these speakers were paid???

It looks like 300 or so people attended, certainly not even a thousand.

I couldn't find the press release on Saint-Denis's site, but this is the Google Translate version in English of the image Ville de Saint-Denis posted of their "communique de presse" on Facebook:

Press release

Reaction of the Municipality of Saint-Denis following the opening of the headquarters of the Church of Scientology

When in 2019, the municipality of Saint-Denis did not pre-empt the office building that the Church of Scientology wished to acquire, avenue du Président Wilson, the opening of this site to the public became inevitable.

The city of Saint-Denis and its inhabitants are today experiencing the announcement of the inauguration of this site.

The city of Saint-Denis is a city of emancipation, a city of progress, a city of knowledge.

It intends to continue, without weakening, its commitment to its constituents, particularly the youngest, in preventing all sectarian abuses.
