We want to thank Mirjam, an activist in Denmark who reached out to us last night with some interesting news. She told us she has found documents (which she displayed in a video she posted yesterday) that show Scientology just recently spent $26 million for a new property, apparently in an effort to double the size of its European headquarters in Copenhagen.
In this photo from the 2014 celebration when the “Advanced Organization Saint Hill Europe” in Copenhagen went “Ideal,” the new purchase is the building next door (which we’ve pointed out with an arrow) at 4 Jernbanegade.
A Scientologist can only go so far up the “Bridge to Total Freedom” at his or her local org. At some point they will need to go to an “Advanced Org” in order to get the really expensive and arcane upper-level stuff. (And for the highest levels of the Bridge, they will eventually need to go to the Flag Land Base in Clearwater, Florida, and then the cruise ship Freewinds in the Caribbean for the culminating auditing level of OT 8.)
The AOSHEU in Copenhagen is the Advanced Org for Europe. For the US, the Advanced Org is at Pac Base in Los Angeles (the American Saint Hill Organization and Advanced Organization of Los Angeles).
For the UK, the Advanced Org is at Saint Hill, the compound in East Grinstead, England.
Two newer Advanced Orgs are in Sydney (2016) and South Africa (2019), and more are planned in Mexico and Canada.
Scientology will no doubt say that it needed to double the size of its European Advanced Org because of increased demand, despite appearances to the contrary. Scientology’s membership has dwindled for years. Mirjam estimates that there are only 600 or 700 Scientologists in all of Denmark, which is consistent with the kinds of numbers we’re seeing from census numbers in places like England (1,854) and Australia (1,655).
So why spend so much money to swallow up more of the block? It has long become obvious that church leader David Miscavige is compensating for dwindling membership by coaxing large donations out of wealthy members, and then using that money for shiny new buildings in an effort to convince those donors that their money is fueling growth. And while the membership may be stagnant, Scientology’s real estate portfolio is definitely growing.
Another view of the current AOSHEU, left, and the new purchase next door.
Will Dave celebrate this acquisition with yet another grand opening? We can hardly wait to see.
Meanwhile, our friends across the pond, Alex Barnes-Ross (in England) and Pete Griffiths (in Ireland), are very unhappy about those new Scientology ads that have been showing up in Dublin and in the London Underground.
And they’ve come up with a very clever way to protest…

Very important to newbies to Scientology. Scientology won't tell you, it's Hubbard's policy NOT to tell you, that the "Advanced Orgs" are where the Scientology Xenu's body-thetans' exorcism techniques are taught and implemented.
Scientology's "Advanced Organizations" are their secret exorcism organizations.
Hubbard, before he died, failed to even change the words for their "organizations" meaning he ought to have by the time he died, considered his "organizations" as "churches" and he ought to have boldly just changed even "Advanced Organization" to "Advanced Church" honestly.
Hubbard's own career of wordsmithing the sub parts of the Scientology empire he built, was inadequate.
And Hubbard's rules for changing wordings of major parts of the Scientology hierarchy of "churches" was inadequate, THUS all "orgs" around the world call themselves "orgs" and not call themselves "churches".
Hubbard entrenched his own wordings for the major parts of the movement in non religious language.
He died before the movement in the US had obtained US IRS "religious tax exemption" might be the reason.
The BIG issues in Scientology, lay out prominently, and the Hubbard rules to change things in a big way, haven't even been out thought strategically by Miscavige nor the "church" lawyers.
The discussion of Scientology by outsiders can't even be agreed upon, when you step back, due to Hubbard's failures, his big failures to sort out things.
"Advanced Orgs" are exorcism facilities in the Scientology fake church hierarchy of "churches" where the spiritual practices of Scientology (Hubbard's supposedly discoveries regarding us as the souls we supposedly are, per Hubbard), are taught and practices.
Advanced Orgs means EXORCISM of the souls without bodies, called 'body-thetans' by Hubbard, which infest our human bodies.
If the public in the world would tie "Advanced Orgs" to exorcism orgs (where the souls Xenu damaged and set loose onto earth, and these souls supposedly infest all humans today, requiring the "Advanced Orgs" three exorcism steps, OT 3, 4, and 5, with the final exorcism steps of OT 6 and 7 being taught and delivered at Flag Clearwater the top "church" of spiritual practices, except for the tippy top spiritual unit on the Freewinds Scientology vessel where the final Hubbard spiritual practice called OT 8 is taught and delivered to top Scientology suckers).
But "Advanced Orgs" are simply the exorcism orgs, where the Xenu story is taught, and Xenu is important for explaining why earth is soaked with these invisible souls which infest all humans, which the full lineup of OT 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 are the Hubbard exorcism procedures to supposedly rid humans of their "body-thetans" which are the invisible souls that Xenu damaged long ago.
Always quickly think Exorcism Orgs when Scientology says Advanced Orgs.
Those Ads with Pete and Alex are brilliant. I hope they are looking into a way of getting them funded. I'd donate to that.
