It’s been far too long since we’ve mentioned Bonnie Woods, the American woman living in England who in 1999 won a legendary court case that resulted in the Church of Scientology not only paying her damages for harassing her, but also apologizing to her.
Totally recommend Bonnie's book: "Deceived: One woman's stand against the church of Scientology"
Lovely photo at 10:44 minutes, that's me (second from audience left, at the back) next to Dave Bird (in a beard, big fella). The big fella, Dave Bird, was in Liberty and had a lot to do with Bonnie getting a letter. Which is also in her book.
And the undertaking is the Good Stuff. The criminal organisation known as the "church" of $cientoloy absolutely cannot tell more lies about Bonnie. And there was no NDA. As if :-)
The important thing about the apology is that the organisation itself is counted as apologising - not only individual members.
Totally agree that making sure that the OT3 level material is required as evidence is the Good Stuff in court. It does need to be a requirement, but the fixed script of the Co$ is helping you: Every time the Co$ says "so and so was a low level member and has no actual knowledge of these terrible stories which are just hearsay" one can suggest countering with the OT3 material.
Bonnie is an AWESOME BEing. I would invite her and her husband to visit anytime, though I've never been in SCN. She is an inspiration and I feel the current Plaintiffs may benefit from her WIN.
