"OT III enabled me to separate myself from my case..." Disassociation is not something to be desired. Your 'case' is some psychological status that has been sold to you. That sale is mostly your very own imagination, that was sold to you early in your $cientology experience.

Terrific...

Any info on whether these are staff members or general public? There were persistent rumours that, during Covid, lots of staffers were going through OT levels.

I don’t think we see much of this from US members anymore. Scientology has such a bad rep in the US. Thank you Tony.

"NED" <-- I totally forgot this (and I am a never-in). New Era Dianetics? New... Dynamics? Help! (Before I spend too much time on something not that important. :>)

The big red chart, the Hubbard stepladder of quackery, on that big chart, "Clear" is achieved roughly in the mid way part of the big chart.

The "lower levels" of Scientology below the Clear midpoint, are tamer pseudo-therapy.

The "upper levels" above Clear, are taken up mostly by the OT 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 exorcism steps.

Most Scientologists "go Clear" doing the 1978 onwards Hubbard allowed "Clear" procedures of the 1978 New Era Dianetics steps.

Prior to the Hubbard 1978 ordered change, to reach "Clear" you had to do the "old" R6EW procedure and the "old" "Clearing" procedure, which were done by oneself on oneself.

Doing the 1978 New Era Dianetics past lives trauma quack pseudo-therapy is easier, and supposedly "faster." Who knows, it's all quackery.

Me, I lived through the Hubbard changes to all things in the movement, from 1975 til I finally quit in 2003, it's all bogus quackery, but because I "went Clear" on the New Era Dianetics quackery, I felt I'd missed out on doing the R6EW and "old" Clearing Course quackery. If you did Clear the New Era Dianetics procedures, you could skp the R6EW and "old" Clearing procedures, and I felt like I missed out.

A lot of Scientologists who skipped doing the "old" "solo" procedures to reach "Clear" and who instead "went Clear" doing the 1978 onwards New Era Dianetics past lives engram running, felt like they missed something.

It's all just nonsense imagination "therapy" at best, it's bogus crap, all of it.

But the "old" R6EW and old Clearing procedure did look more interesting, I only did NED though, which was boring enough, because all you are doing is making up imaginary past lives traumas to supposedly tie into your this lifetime problems in life.

It's just rubbish, like John Sweeney summarized all of Scientology.

Someone needs to nicely summarize in writing, in a neat little simply explained book, the "evolving" of the Hubbard quackery, but really, since it's quackery, it's not exactly beneficial to know all of it's intracacies.

But in basic terms, the New Era Dianetics is a two person way to "Clear." The person receiving the NED answers and delves into their past lives engrams (traumas).

In the "old" way to Clear, via R6EW and "old" Clearing procedure, you delve "solo" using lists of concepts, trying to pick apart dichotomies of concepts which supposedly under your consciousness, deep in your unconcious mind, your negative masses of memories are held in place to your detriment. Using the secret lists of concepts, you by yourself "undo" your "key words" to your reactive mind, and alleviate things, so you reach "Clear."

Confounding to outsiders, except if an outsider realizes Hubbard's fiendish constraints he's placed on all his members, is the fact they cannot and are not allowed (without great penalty) to write or state:

XENU CAUSED THE WALL OF FIRE

XENU CAUSED THE WHOLE 4th DYNAMIC ENGRAM

Xenu caused this body-thetans (invisible souls) human infestation problem. Xenu caused all the R6 implanting done, during the 36 1/2 days of implanting which goes on during the 4th Dynamic Engram, all caused by Xenu.

Xenu is the key "WHO" in our human tragedy, yet Hubbard disallows even labelling him.

If you say "Xenu caused the Wall of Fire" to a Scientologist, they go silent and change the subject.

But Xenu being the "WHO" (causer) of the Wall of Fire and the 4th Dynamic Engram is a huge spoiler alert.

Xenu explaining is great spoiler alert discussion, and it's factually a relief for the heavily self censored Scientologists who are disallowed discussing their "upper" spiritual beliefs, to even finally be allowed to understand them.

But they can't openly publicly discuss even the person who caused the human tragedy.

The upper Scientology beliefs and practice is just soul-freeing exorcism. OT 3 through OT 7 are the five long expensive steps of exorcism, that take most of them years, some it takes decades to finally eject all their Xenu dumped invisible "body-thetans" souls off their bodies.

It's to me, just spiritual snipe hunting.

I remember when I was a Boy Scout/"Explorer" and the snipe hunting gag was first pulled on me.

You are left in the dark in the woods holding a canvas bag, and the Scouts pulling the gag on you, tell you to hold the bag open, and they will go off and then "drive" some snipes, these birds, to run into your bag.

But you are left holding the bag, in the dark, in the forest, when your Scout fellows go back to the tent to snooze, you left in the woods waiting. Snipe (bird) hunting, being left holding the bag.

Snipe-hunting of Scientology is chasing after Xenu's earth dumped body-thetans/souls which supposedly infest your human body and are detrimental to you because those souls "leak" their "case" onto you, even though you are "Clear."

OT 3 through OT 7 is snipe hunting after Xenu's earth dumped body-thetans! That's the spoiler alert discussion.

----------------------------

The Hubbard rules, though, disallow free understandable discussion of all the above, the Scientologists who reach OT 3 and learn the Xenu story, aren't allowed to explain that Xenu caused the Wall of Fire, nor that Xenu is the reason earth is so "messed up."

You'd think this would be normal, to explain what your spiritual practice is all about.

But no, Hubbard had to make it secret and penalize the members from even openly discussing their spiritual nuts and bolts openly.
