On Tuesday, we were back in court to find out if Scientology celebrity and accused serial rapist Danny Masterson would get a retrial after his first trial ended on November 30 with a hung jury.
You know, I can really see DM in the background, pushing for Tony's interview to be a central part of the case, because (as I imagine it) he loved the idea of using Tony's work as the primary tool for scuttling this case. Whether or not this is even remotely accurate, I'm still super glad that it absolutely did not work out this way. : )
The Jane's courage, as they bolster themselves once again to testify, has been undaunted despite the agony of reliving trauma forced on them by DM. May each find solace in the knowledge that they are continuing to pave the way for victims everywhere and, most especially, those trapped in Scientology's deception, control, and hateful treatment of anyone who seeks an exit. Dear Janes, remember to breathe through the chaos with awareness that caring strangers are on your side 100%..
"The additional testimony will assist the jury on retrial to understand common responses to perceived threats in the context of a traumatic event; that trauma survivors may experience gaps in their memories, yet also possess vivid, unforgettable, distressing memories of the event"
This is central to all historic sexual assault trials, and the prosecution's going to need to do a better job of it this time. I've no doubt Ms Mechanic did a terrific job, but it didn't resonate with the jury in this instance, so perhaps different tactics are required next time.
Shout out to Tony-AGAIN! His writing about scientology was a pivotal factor in my escape from the scientological prison of belief.
He continues to expose this abusive, criminal con and its enablers...and continues to educate the world about this culty criminal enterprise and its Demonic Bunghole Führer, Captain Raving Mismanage.
Regarding Dumbphuck Donkeypunch's trial coverage: He's the go-to journalist, period.
Off topic but I’m in a restaurant in the middle of nowhere Wyoming listening to total strangers at the next table discuss Shelly Miscavige and why she’s missing and why they won’t watch Tom Cruise movies and how horrible scientology must be to kidnap people and how horrible it is that Kirstie Alley died because of it. The word is getting out🥰

Same :)
Me too
I'm glad to hear that the Jane Does are up for a retrial, and I hope it goes better for the prosecutor.

"at least one additional potential witness that the People intend to locate and interview" Have you checked the engine room on the Freewinds?
That's a superb statement from the Janes. They've blown me away with their strength and conviction since the very start.

It sounds as if the DA has new experts lined up as they prepare for victory this time.
This comment from org-rat over at the Bunker made me laugh.
"By the end of the next trial Cohen will filing motions to dismiss just because Danny Mastersons hair looks too much like pubes."
😂😂😂
But...lush, curly, 70's-fantastic-pubes!
🤣
Lol
