There’s thinking and there’s “thinking.” To me the oversharer is successfully not thinking. She’s just happy that this group pets her and strokes her. As long as the donations flow. (She should hide any pre-teen children, I have to add.)
I hope she doesn’t find that when the means to donate dry up, or real trouble occurs like it did for Whitney Mills, that the criminal organisation known as the “church” of $cientology dumps her like a hot potato and she is left trying to get in touch with lowly officials who probably never quite manage to return her calls except to get her to donate more. When I was involved (1970-1986), donations like the one Oversharer is making weren't part of the deal (other than the introduction of the IAS in the early '80s) but the goal of helping communities and mankind were very definitely part of the stated ideal. Oversharer's write-up tells me her "confront" is via her wealth. She can't see that what she's promoting has been promoted (and not come to fruition) for over 50 years, nor can she see that there are people in her own community (scientologists) struggling to pay the rent ... while likely being judged as down-stat or out-exchange. What a hot mess.
I’m stuck on how Scientology is still in business. I've wondered how much money COB squirreled away in a Swiss Bank. COB is, above all, self-serving. He must have an escape plan to get out of the country fast if things start going wrong for him. I believe we are starting to see the end of Scientology. It all hinges on the child trafficking case.
