Good show! Good luck to the plaintiffs and to their legal team.

"The American Board of Medical Specialties does not recognize, does not provide board certification for alternative, complementary, or integrative medicine. There's no such thing in the state of Florida as a board certification for that."

So there can be no appeal to any other 'alternative' medicine practitioner.

"He’s not a specialist under 766.102(5) (a), but he may be a general practitioner.

he was essentially acting as her primary care physician."

Rasco gets it and he got the Judge to see it too. Minkoff treated her for a non-existent Lyme Disease and refereed Mills to other specialties for her supposed cancer. He acted as a general practitioner. The end. Now, let's set a trial date.

I get the need for integrative or complementary healthcare, but this is ridiculous. If found guilty can the judge refer him to the appropriate bodies to get his licenses revoked? Can anything be done to make that happen sooner? Why is CoS still willing to risk sending people to Minkoff? Why are they even okay with him prescribing meds for psychiatric issues???

I'm no good at legalese but it did send a chill down my spine to hear the shyster lawyers start to talk about signed consent forms. Just like the idiocy faced by my fellow former Sea Org members when they try to get justice.

Looks like this judge isn't buying it!

Unless I'm reading it wrong, the idea was not even considered. Sure, consent forms are legal contracts, but you cannot consent to abandon your rights under the constitution. Rights are rights, that's why they are called "rights" and not "privileges granted when convenient".

“let me just read to you from paragraph one of the affidavit of Michelle Boudreau. “Further, I have specific training in Lyme disease and as a doctor of osteopathic medicine I have received training in alternative medicine and treating patients with a holistic approach.” She's a licensed doctor of osteopathic medicine. That license is current. She went to college in Philadelphia for it.” Boom

Nah take your useless binder. When you’re arguing against a real doctor who also trained in your fake doctor’s specialty as an expert, you’ve stepped on your own argument.

Scientologists follow Hubbard’s Dianetic woo woo against the medics. All Ron’s advices turn MDs like Minkoff into squirrelly half baked brainwashed medicos who help kill people. Not very complicated. And if you look it up, the Greek letter theta means “Death”. Hubbards little joke on everyone.

Minkoff's lawyer: "This case does not involve cancer but..."

WHAT??? He told her the mass was >cancerous< and he was 'treating' her for cancer. He even goes over that later. How can he lead with that?

Aside: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "CHRONIC" LYME DISEASE. Doctors, even "alternative" ones, shouldn't be allowed to just make diseases up.

First that stands out to me:

",,,,So he referred her, for example, to a GYN surgeon who ultimately recommended removal or a hysterectomy, I believe. It’s a little unclear which to me of this ovarian mass that was presumed malignant, you know. After that surgery was cancelled or not done, Dr. Minkoff ultimately discharged her, the patient, because he told her, I need you to go through with this and get this malignancy dealt with. About three weeks later Miss Mills took her own life......" above from the Minkoff lawyer.

a) Who was the GYN surgeon, and what is their affidavit or will that come in the trial. Because this Minkoff lawyer statement relies on the GYN surgeon's recommendation of removal or a hysterectomy. That is critical, and I'm scouring the rest of this LONG doc to see more on this, because that's a major thing at play in Whitney's mind. Did she learn this from Minkoff, or from the GYN surgeon? Critical info to find out.

b) ,,, I forgot my next thought, this is out of my league to focus,
