After our last discussion with Valerie Haney, we still can’t believe that Scientology, sanctioned by a court of law, is getting away with abusing her once again under the farcical excuse of “religious arbitration.” It was bad enough that Scientology’s attorneys convinced the Los Angeles Superior Court that its one-sided and completely unfair setup for arbitration was something Valerie was obliged to take part in, but then it became clear that they’ve put her through days and days of abusive nonsense because they have no actual interest in arbitrating her claims.
It’s beyond disgraceful that Valerie cannot bring her attorney or anyone else to bear witness. And in some old warehouse? It’s beyond merely intimidating. That is threatening.
She should not be forced to participate in a religious arbitration, period.
If Scientology ran the world Valerie’s sham arbitration would be the norm. George Orwell described the nightmare as justice in his book 1984. The fact is Scientology is not a religion and does not deserve the protection given it by the court system. I’ve experienced the gaslighting of the cult justice system and Valerie gets my applause and respect for going through the gauntlet.

Unless there has been a change in the last few years Adell and and Weldons daughter Mary still works at the Las Vegas Org. I worked with her in the 80's (she was awesome). She was a dedicated true believer. She was the on/off again Executive Director. She was constantly offloaded because of her connection to the infamous SP Hartwells, her parents. She would be reinstated because the Org was an empty disaster, than removed blah blah blah. Sounds like Verdawn got out, that's good.
The time is coming for the victims of this abusive cult to be vindicated. We need people who are willing to stand up and speak out (as more and more people are doing every day) even if they were a guilty party in whatever abuse took place. Immunity from prosecution is usually available for them. The protests that are taking place in so many areas are shedding light on this organization that many people are not even aware exists. It’s like a snowball and the outrage is spreading. And the grand jury is still investigating. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to see all of these empty buildings being used to actually help people who need help. I hope I am alive to see it happen. Can’t wait for the cowardly little leader to face his day in court. Thank you so much, Valerie Haney, for going through the things you have gone through.
