The video for the Canberra Ideal Org appears to be created to extract money from church members outside of Australia. It’s a slick travelogue commercial for the city and why they need a new citadel of craziness that will sit empty. In this way Davey can point to more huge international expansion and attract whales to donate to change the world. Meanwhile the world sees only a criminal organization thanks to the media explosion from Danny Masterson’s trial. I love that Scientology is becoming absolutely radioactive. The most common approach to dealing with radioactive waste is to bury it. No amount of money is going to stop that from happening Mr. Miscavige. Tik Tok, Tik Tik.

Sweet baby Xenu, who writes the copy on these flyers?

Spend 1/4 of the space dissing the target city before referring yawningly to its amazing natural wonders (what are “different” mountains? More than one? Made of cheese?). Then refer to a foreign dish antennae as a “NASA base” and as if it were the region’s only noteworthy feature.

I would give just to never see Scientology marketing copy ever again.

I assumed they brought up NASA because of Xenu. ;)

One blurb in the that $cieno video says it all. "The Highest Standard of Living in Australia". Where there's money, their is a reg in the bushes. And of course, it is so much easier to 'safe point' elected and government officials if you're in their face.

These promos never show a full, busy org in real time. When an org is shown in a promo video, the activities always look staged.

If there really were MILLIONS of scientologists, these orgs would be severely over-crowded, to the point of being unable to deliver their services to all who wanted them ...Even when I was drinking the kool-aid, I wondered where the millions of scientologists were. When I finally joined staff, I realized that ALL of the church's promo was a kind of propaganda, although I justified it in my own mind at the time with the thought that church promo amounted to "making convincing postulates so that the mission could be accomplished".

If a donor can give millions to Pope Pompadour, can't that donor also visit random orgs in the U.S. and do an "obnosis drill" ...and see how empty they are? No, of course not; that would smell of being "counter command intention"...

Wow, McSlappy Macallan just keeps boldly lying and hoovering assets. Wondering how long it will take for the remaining big donors to realize that they're being played...
