Isn’t there supposed to be a pack of Kools on his desk?

He quit smoking and they were all removed. This happened before he was dead, not after.

I just reread what I wrote and I love it so that’s my answer.

He didn’t quit after he was dead.

Yes, as early as 1981-82, they were all removed from his offices.

Dave once told us, in the 90s, that the big house for Hubbard at the Int Base was not a shrine. Meaning at that time, only a few years after Hubbard's departure to circle Uranus, Dave thought he would return.

But that is not the purpose of the little shrine-offices in the Ideal Orgs. No doors! No shelf full of drugs!

The real Hubbard offices at the Int Base all had extensive offices for his staff attached, A kitchenette for his meals. Formica-covered no-smell cleanable furniture, Air purifiers. TV. Doors. Often a very expensive audio listening setup. A very comfy couch for sleeping. Nothing like what is in the I-rotten-deal Orgs.

If Hubbard did come back and visited an Ideal Org he would only stay long enough to order the architects to be shot from guns.

His offices were adjacent to senior exec offices in the org where I did services. We'd walk right by LRH's office (NOT huge--about 12x12') on the way to the course room. 1981.

Yes. What a scam job. David is a scammer.

Techie,

Funny. Also, when Miscavige approved the proposals for all the gaudy LRH Offices' various motifs, the proposals I'm sure he gave only verbal, never his signature, on those proposals, for the very reason that should LRH come back, then DM can say he hadn't known of the gaudiness.

The "Okay on your OKay" or verbal okay, for sure.

Since LRH himself made up "Okay on your okay" for executives to dodge taking full responsibility, it's only natural to be like LRH and ensure one can blame subordinates when a mess results.

How can I Ever Forget cleaning ron’s Office in the Sea Org at Asho F 74-78.

I was so exhausted one QM that by the time I got to his desk at 3:00 am, I was so tired I Sat In His Chair to dust!

Out of the blue a LRH Communicator rushed in and pulled me up by my neck out of the chair screaming at me Never to Sit there again!

I actually wrote him and Mary Sue about this.

They thought it was good for a laugh.

So I really do not feel ron would come back to any office designed for or ordered by miscavige.

An office is too good for the both of them.

One ended up in The Bluebird and who knows where miscavige will end up.

Wherever it is he will get the mother of all sunburns!

Thank you Tony CO

Imagine what the Apollo "SO#1 Unit Letter Answerers" thought when they read your letter. They, not LRH, had to formulate that answer you received, and I believe the SO#1 onetime boss is reachable, we could even ask her what she'd have done with a letter like yours.

---------------------------------

Once when I was not in the know about the SO#1 Line Letter Answerers who answered all the LRH Letters, I kept pestering them for a definition of a word, and finally Hank Billings of the SO#1 Unit at that time, gave me a definition for the word I couldn't even find in the libray, so I put the answer in our Flag Course room "Hard to Find Card File" where we kept all the definitions of hard to find words, LOL. Later I found out Hank answered this letter I sent to LRH, not LRH, of course, but I left the definition in the Hard to Find card file anyways. (Before today's extensive glossaries and the course room computer dictionary the orgs use today, we had the Hard to Find Card Files in all the course rooms, to get the definitions we collected of all the Hard to Find words.)

IIRC didn’t all his offices look exactly the same when he was alive?

Using my well known lack of decorating skills, I bet that Lroon would like a more nautical theme in his digs. But no pics of Mary Sue or anyone else. All pics have to have him in some 'heroic' pose or wallowing in the adulation of his minions. Back from Target 2 or not, his personality will or should be the same as demonstrated during his first lifetime.

But then again, Lroon probably will never 'get back', he's dead and is drinking toilet wine in Hell with Generalissimo Fransisco Franco.

I was still in Scientology in Toronto when LRH died in 1986. The Toronto org was a shabby building inside and out with the exception of one room which was L. Ron Hubbard's office. They spared no expense in creating a luxurious office. The 8 story building was located on Yonge St which is the main downtown street in Toronto. In 2013 it was closed supposedly for renovations and has now been sitting empty and boarded up for the past 11 years. The org is now located in a more remote area of the city. The number of active Scientology members seems to be decreasing all over the world. Hopefully it will soon cease to exist and be just a bad memory in history.

Something is missing from these offices...oh, yes, LRH always had a poster-sized photo of Himself in his offices. I never saw pictures of Mary Sue, the kids, anything like that, but local awards, trophies, yes, on nearby shelves. I'm also wondering--why are there GAT CD boxes on his office shelves now?

Where is Ron’s famous cowboy hat in his Austin office?

No typewriters?

Or tape recorders. I don't think there were ever any of those in his office.

Very informative Chuck.Thank you.

I did receive notes from ron on the bottom of Mary Sue's WW GO note writing paper. He always wrote with a fountain pen & signed his notes R.

From 74-76 then she stopped writing me and he did also.

The SO#1 line took me back over until late 78 when I fled.

So Good to see you and read your posts too.💛😘

Unbelievable this motif for a dead "religious" angle religion founder's office, left for his use alone, and he's dead, so that's not going to happen of course.

Cleaning of that office, I'm sure there are loads of people who've had that "cleaning station" (assigned nightly cleaning dusting vacuuming of a particular space one is assigned as one's daily cleaning duty) of the "LRH Office" cleaning. Usually someone in a higher position or trusted staffer gets to clean LRH's office daily.

When I was on the RPF for a brief month or so in 1989, I was allowed to do the cleaning of the LRH apartment "LRH space" in the HGB building which is a nice apartment at the corner of the HGB building the 11th floor, same floor but separate entrances, to the RTC empty offices floor on the 11th floor of the HGB. The 10th and 12th floors of the HGB are the OSA floors, and the 11th floor LRH Apartment corner rooms are quite nice, and a huge stand up walk in shower. Adjacent to the LRH apartment rooms are the RTC wing that takes up the rest of the 11th floor.

I worked on repairs at Ron's office and on of the earlier homes of his on the Int. base up lines. There, they were much nicer but then they were set up while LRH was alive.

Dave is jealous of LRH. It's no wonder that he skimped on Ron's offices.

Disgraceful. LRH deserves a lot better.
